Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This auction is for a 1967 Mustang, originally a 6 cylinder car but now converted into a drag monster. I bought this a few weeks ago with the intention of making it street legal but have realized that I don’t have the time to play with this and my 1966 Mustang. Here is a link to the original ebay ad –http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330539801659&viewitem= Here is some more detail – · 390 FE engine (D2 heads) · C6 Transmission · Headers · Flowmaster 3” dual exhaust · Hurst “Quarter Stick” quickshift · Line Loc · 4:56 posi rear end · Slot mag (?) alloy wheels – 15x10 rear · Harwood fiberglass hood with pins · Southside machine subframe connectors · Holley Street Dominator intake manifold · NEW Holley Street Avenger 670 CFM carb · NEW Holley Blue Electric Fuel Pump · NEW coil and Autolite spark plugs · NEW Champion Aluminum Radiator · Electric Fan · Transmission cooler (mounted in passenger wheel well) · Transmission temperature gauge · Mechanical Oil Pressure and Coolant Temperature gauges · Harwood Fuel Cell · Rear firewall added · Bumper/wiper/heater/carpet/headliner delete There are probably more modifications such as suspension components but I haven’t investigated too deeply. The odometer reading shows 29111 - the title shows 129102. The body is mostly in good shape. However, the “usual” areas are rusty – cowl panels are shot and the floor panels have been patched up to maintain rigidity (the garage does safety inspections and said it would pass) . The trunk lid is also showing holes along the rear edge and has no lock barrel. The roof panel is showing surface rust on the inside. The factory wiring appears to be mostly intact but I’m no expert so don’t quote me. Interior-wise, all the seats are included – I would describe them as “OK” for a 44 year old car. The original gauges are intact but I have no idea if any of them work. I did buy used heater controls so you’re welcome to them (although there is no heater to control!). There is no dash pad or trim and as mentioned in the list above there is no carpet or headlining. Shortly after I trailered it here it refused to start. I fitted a new coil and spark plugs, checked fuel/spark/timing but had to give up and get it towed to a nearby garage. They diagnosed it as a carb issue so I bought and got them to fit a new carb and a new fuel pump and filter for good measure. Shortly after that the thermostat got stuck and the original radiator started to leak. So I bought and fitted a new thermostat and aluminum radiator. At the moment it starts and runs fine without any leaks The garage that fitted the carb described the motor as “strong” for what it’s worth. However, I don’t run it for more than a couple of minutes as it is very, very loud and I live in a very small cul-de-sac. Please note that this also means that the only test drive will be on to a trailer. I’ve tried to be as honest as I can but please remember that I’m not an expert on Mustangs by a long shot and prior to a couple of weeks ago I didn’t even own any wrenches, sockets or even a jack. The car is sold “as is” with no warranty implied or given – it has a clean NJ title and I have proof that it was sold to me. The car is available for viewing every day until April 12th. If it sells then it will be available for collection from April 21st onwards. The winning bidder will be required to pay a $250 deposit by Paypal within 24hrs of the auction end and the balance in cash upon collection. If you need any more details or pictures of specific areas please email. Thanks for looking. The subframe connectors are not branded as far as I can see.
