This car is a true time capsule. It is still wearing it original factory applied 7404 sepia brown paint and is totally rust free. California blue plate car in excellent condition. It has been preserved in storage for the last 24 years but was recently uncovered and returned to daily driving service. THE BODY is amazing. There is not a spot of rust on it anywhere. The paint is the original sepia brown factory applied paint. Unfortunately it has has two areas touched up. The front of the hood/bonnet has had a local repair to cover stone chips but it has been very poorly done and the front edge now has the texture of sandpaper! The rear of the deck lid has also had the same treatment but actually looks ok but its not original and i'm a big original paint enthusiast so it bothers me. The rest of the paint is 100% guaranteed untouched original and it shows. Its gorgeous. It shines great and is as hard as nails. The car has its fair share of chips and scratches as to be expected for an unrestored car of this age. The only minor damage is below the rear bumper on the drivers side. It looks as if someone may have backed over a tree stump. THE ENGINE is the original 2.2 with Zenith carbs. It has 124k miles on it and has just been fully serviced. Valves adjusted, carbs cleaned, new fuel pump/oil/filter/belt. The compression is excellent all between 125-135 psi. It does not smoke or leak any oil and sounds very healthy. The 5 speed trans shifts fine and was rebuilt just before going into storage 24 years ago. The clutch is strong. It just completed a 1600 mile skiing holiday with no problems. THE INTERIOR is fair. The dash has one split in it and the carpets are a little worn. The seats and door panels are good though. Targa top has no damage. THE WHEELS are the original 14 inch Fuchs alloys in good condition with fair tires. Clean title in hand.
