Vehicle Detail

1977 Maico AW125 This bike seems to be in amazingly complete, mostly original condition with what looks to be little time on it. Original items include: Falk plastic. Akront rims, spokes. Original paint on frame, tank and hubs. Seat is in excellent condition. Most of the fasteners look to be original. CORRECT 125 ONLY ITEMS: Fuel tank, dent in rear as shown, had a rear seam welded by EC at Maico Only, see pix. Rear hub/ wheel. Complete frame/swingarm with the original factory Girling shocks, damping and springs feel good, shafts good, see pix. Original exhaust pipe, small dent in silencer, see pix. Correct original air boot in excellent, soft condition! Last one I saw for sale was a repop for several HUNDRED dollars! This bike seems to have all the correct AW125 pieces it should. Transmission correctly adjusted/timed by EC at Maico Only, and not ridden since. The Magura levers are NOS. NOS Terry cables on clutch and throttle. NOS Terry front brake cable included. (wrong hub end on cable, could use different brake arm to mount cable ) Bars are after market, period correct "Andre'", light corrosion see pix. Tires: IRC on rear - good condition, Dunlop on front - beginning to check at knobs, needs tube. Both fork tubes have some corrosion in triple clamp area, and throttle side tube in travel area, see pix. The lower portion of the kickstarter has been bent at sometime and heated up and reshaped poorly, in my opinion it needs to be reworked professionally. The splines are good. This bike came from the late John Astleford in Georgia in the late 90's, and has been in my collection since. He told me he got it from Barry Higgins and at some point in it's life it wore number 52, you can see the outline of the numbers on the side panels. No title, bill of sale if buyer wishes. Please ask any and all questions before you bid. Your bid signifies you have satisfied yourself as to the condition of this item and application for use.
