Vehicle Detail
This is a 1950? Dodge Power Wagon. It starts, runs, drives and brakes. This would be a good truck for someone who either wants to use it as is or put alittle work into it and drive it while they restore it. The motor sounds great. The transmission shifts as it should. The clutch works fine but it might need to be adjusted or replaced to be great. The transfer case works as it should as well. The winch works great and has about 250 feet of good cable on it. It is a 12V electrical system which works fine and charges great. Starts great no matter how cold it is outside. The emergency brake works as does the regular brakes. It is set up with a Micro brake set-up which is shown in the pictures which is a lever that it flipped while your holding the foot brake down which then holds hydraulic presure on the 4 brakes which makes a great emergencty brake but was probably more likely to hold the truck when the winch was being used. This truck used to have a gin pole on the front I believe. This truck does need work for a restoration for sure. Most of the lights don't work, no wipers, some body work is needed. All the gages work with the exception of the gas gage and speedometer. There is no gas tank and it runs off the boat gas tank on the tool box behind the drivers door. I do have a repairable original gas tank that is available for an additional fee. The cab vent works and so does the windshield regulator. The side windows roll up and down although one of the handles are missing. The drivers door glass is cracked as is the passenger side windshield. The truck even though needing some body for holes here and there is solid to the point that at 220lbs everything including the fenders will support my weight easily. The truck probably looks better in the pictures than it really is as the previous owner and his daughter painted it with a brush and roller. I was told by him that it was owned by a local man since new and I believe it was set up as a welders truck. It was then sold to a small local ski area and used twice a year to lift and lower the large cement weight on the chairlift before being bought by the previous owner. Anyway, thats the story. The best part of the truck is perhaps the frame and running gear. Look at the pictures and you'll see a frame that looks like new, new bed supports, clean springs, axles. Looks to me as someone started a ground up restoration. Thats why I had bought it originally. I have never registered it for the road and it is being sold with a bill of sale only. NH doesn't title vehicles this old, but if the winning bidder wants a NH registration with the bill of sale I will register the vehicle and provide that to the winning bidder for an additional $250.00. With the bill of sale and a NH registration you should be able to get in registered in your state, but please check with your states DMV. All the pictures were taken while the vehicle was running. The ad says the truck is a 1950 as thats what the previous owner sold it to me as and it appears to match the data tag on the drivers door frame but I have no way to tell for sure. If your local feel free to come and check the truck out before bidding. I require a $500.00 deposit by paypal or within 48 hours of the auction closing and full payment in cash or withing 7days. If within thoise 7 days you come to pick-up the truck and don't like it for any reason you can back out of the deal and I will refund $250.00 of your $500.00 deposit and we'll call it done. This is to cover the $125.00 listing fee and my trouble. So be sure before you bid and ask all the questions you want. The buyer is responsible for ALL transportation charges and arrangements. I can transport the vehicle within a resonable distances for a additional fee but please check with me if interested in this BEFORE bidding. Vehicle is sold as is. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as its for sale locally as well. If you need specific pictures let me know and I'll get them to you. Thanks for looking.
