VIDEO OF THE CAR IS NOW ON YOUTUBE SEARCH FOR "1957 MGA Roadster For Sale" I give a full tour of the car and show everything pretty clearly. This is a NO RESERVE auction for my 1957 MGA Roadster. This is a project car but is a nice southern car with very minimal rust. I have a clear title in my file cabinet as I just checked when I listed the car. I have had the car for over 5 years but need to sell it as I have a new business and other car projects I need to finish. The car is mostly there but will need a complete restoration. The car was given a frame off restoration in the early 80's and body was removed from the frame which was media blasted and repainted. The frame is really nice with perfect battery supports and joints and supports where the floorboards go. I stripped the body to bare metal but then moved and the car was then put in a carport for a couple of years under a car cover. So there is some surface corrosion as it was just in light primer but it comes off in 2 or 3 passes with a sander. The front nose piece is really nice with no evidence of any major damage and no body filler. The rear panel is nice but has two light dents where the bumper overiders were pushed into the car. They then just filled in the dents but they are very minor relatively. The trunk floor is pretty good but has a 2 inch hole that was cut to access the trunk lock some time ago. The front fenders are straight with no structural rust both both will need to be repaired slightly where there were fender mirrors attached at some point. The right rear fender is also usable with no structural rust or rust through. The inner sills have been removed. I have some new ones that have never been installed. They have been sitting around for a while and will need to be cleaned up but they will work perfectly. I will include the option to buy the inner sills for $150 Each if you buy the car. Moss sells them for $295 EACH. There are no outer sills but they are pretty inexpensive. There is no left rear fender or front valace. I have a partial left rear fender that has no rust and can be used as a patch for a damaged one and it goes with the car. The hood and trunk lid are nice. I purchased them both as the ones that came with the car had a lot of filler in them. The doors are both nice with no significant rust in the non aluminium parts. The transmission tunnel is there with no real rust. The battery cover is good. Mechanical Bits: The diff is there and has the ring and pinion. The steering rack is there and feels good. The car has three steel wheels and a wire wheel on the right front. The car comes with an MGA 1500 4 speed gearbox with the correct driveshaft. It also comes with a starter. There is no engine included with the car as I was planning on using an MGB engine. I have a good running MGB engine that I will sello with the car at a bargain price. Please ask about it if this important to you. I also have the rear engine plates and flywheel to help mate the MGB engine to the MGA gearbox. Dashboard is more or less complete. Looks like the oil-water gauge senders are intact. Wiring harness is there and looks OK. I have an electric tach that goes with the car. zthere is one seat. I have several boxes of parts that come with the car. However I know I don't have the following. I want to list them to so I don't get a bunch of questions about what you don't see. I don't have the following parts for the car: Radiator, exhaust, heater assembly, floorboards (these are easy to make as they are wood), fuel tank, top frame, windshield, bumpers or grill. I am in the British car parts business. Therefore I will include any MGA parts you would like to buy at MY COST if you purchase the car. I am a Moss dealer and the discount varies from part to part as this is how Moss prices to its distributors. I have several other suppliers including ones in the UK. This is no gimmick. Examples would be a new 3 piece clutch kit $90, a new MGA Brake Master $140. new top $175 etc. etc. If you have a question about this please ask. All parts would need to be purchased and either picked up with the car or otherwise ordered in one or two large orders within a couple of months of buying the car. No multiple parts but no limit to how much either if its for this car. I will show you my dealer price list when you pick up the car or parts. I will help you load the car no problem. I will work with a delivery company of your choosing. I can deliver for a reasoable price within 300 miles or so of Knoxville Tennessee. Please feel free to come and look at the car. You may look yourself or send someone to inspect the car for you. Please message me for my Phone Number. Down Payment of $500 with 48 Hours of the Sale Cash in person or Paypal. The rest of the payment is due within 10 days unless you contact me and I agree to something different. It's best to ask before you buy rather than after. Payment with cash or Paypal or USPS Money Order Only. The car will need to be picked up within 2 weeks unless you likewise make an arangement with me. But in any case it will have to be picked up by the end of April. No bidders with less than 10 feedback. If this is you contact me and I can unblock you from the bidding. I will need to speak to you on the phone first. Thanks for Looking :)
