Vehicle Detail
I have owned this car for two years and as far as I know I am the second owner. The Previous owner loved this car and always garaged it and did all required maintenance. This Caprice is in beautiful condition inside and out. Since owning the car I have done regular maintenance and have replaced the fuel pump last October and the wiper motor this January. The Caprice is as reliable as a brand new car. We spend the Winters in Arizona so we drove the car here from Washington state in September and I feel it could be driven across the country with no hesitation. One of the things I like best about the Caprice is that this one came with the V6 engine so the car gets about 22 mpg which is great for a big comfortable car like this. The Caprice was in excellent original condition for a 20 year old car however the paint was getting somewhat faded on the top surfaces and it had a few door dings on the sides so we had it repainted about 2 months ago. The shop did a very good job as you can see by the pictures. The color is a silver/gray metallic and it looks great. The vinyl roof was redone by the previous owner about 3 years ago and it was an excellent job they did. I had the glass tinted when we came to Arizona and I payed top dollar for top of the line tint job using a lifetime warrantied tint so it looks factory and will last forever. The interior of the chevy is all original and is still in great shape. This car has never been smoked in as far as I know as the previous owner didn't smoke and neither do I. The seats are like new with no burns, rips, or stains. The headliner is like new. All 4 doors have perfect vinyl eith no tears or cracks. The carpet is in excellent shape with just one area of wear on the drivers side from driver heel(see picture). The interior of the trunk looks new. Mechanically everything works on this car except for the cruise control which wasn't working when I bought it. The Caprice is equipped with air conditioning and it works very well. There is NO rust on this car it is 100% solid and has always been garaged. On Mar-27-11 at 15:26:21 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI: Car has always been registered in Washington state and still is. I write this so there is no confusion. You see I have been an EBAY member for 10 years with 100% feedback til I had the misfortune of selling a 1978 Lincoln to a guy named Bobby in Spring Valley California two weeks ago. The 78 Lincoln as I stated in the auction had always been an Arizona car that had spent it's whole life in Casa Grande AZ, was always garaged and was completely rust free. Well Bobby took delivery of the Lincoln then phoned me and said I can't register the car because it has no catalytic converter. He then tried to extort $500 from me, the price he claimed to add a catalytic converter. I checked it out and found the car never was equipped from the factory with a cat as it was an AZ car as I stated not a california car so why should I pay for him to buy a cat for it. I even did some research and found a CA conforming cat for the car for $150 not $500 that Bobby was trying to extort. But this was not good enough. The buyer had no integrity so slammed me with negative feedback. Therefore I want to make it very clear that this is a WA state car.
