Here is a very clean, well kept, attractive GMC extended cab pickup. 454 big block engine with T.B.I. Smooth shifting automatic trans. Its very nice inside the cab with minimal wear on the seats. Glass is all good, and the power windows work as they should. Heater controls all function as well. A\C is not blowing cold. Probably needs charged. The body is very straight with no rust or bubbles showing. Inside the bed is scratched from hauling. A spray in bed liner would fix it right up. Odometer is not functioning. Possibly unhooked? This truck drives great. Very quiet and tight. Very solid feeling. Brakes work as they should, with no pulling or squealing. Engine has good oil pressure, and aftermarket heat gauge shows no overheating. There is no oil in the coolant, or coolant in the oil. I have driven it about 90 miles with no issues. Now the mechanics special part. The engine has a noise that we have not identified. Its NOT a knock. Its like a lifter rattle or rocker clatter. It might be a simple repair. I dont have the time to work on it. It always starts right up. Perhaps a flat lobe on the cam has been suggested. Or a collapsed lifter. Pulling the number one spark plug wire makes no change in the way it runs. Surprising power from only 7 cylinders. Im going to let it go for just what I paid for it, and even if you had to put another engine in it, its still a really good deal for someone who can fix it.
