Vehicle Detail

1969 Big Block, 4-Speed Camaro Pace Car Convertible This is an original 1969 RS/SS convertible in Dover white with orange stripes and door decals, NOT ORIGINAL ENGINE but correct datecode big block 396 CI, original 4-speed and positive traction rear end, 14" original Rally Wheels, hounds tooth interior, Console with Rally Pac gauges, tilt steering wheel, RARE headlight washers, aftermarket CD player and speakers. This is a very nice car that runs and drives out well but gets ALOT of attention when you drive it! Don't take it out for a quick trip anywhere--it will attract so much attention that you will be late, no matter how much time you plan! It has been repainted previously, at some time prior to our purchase about five years ago. This car is an original X-11 code--one of only 3,200 produced in 1969. This is a rare opportunity to own a limited production piece of American History. Please review all photos for details. They are included with the text to depict an accurate description of this car. As with used items, this car is sold as is, where is. This vehicle is believed to be as described, but seller is not responsible for errors. To verify correctness, car can be made available for inspection upon request prior to end of bid. This is truly a fun car that can be enjoyed tremendously. If you're in the market for a classic Camaro, this is one that shouldn't be overlooked. Contact seller for additional information or to make an appointment to view. Please do not bid if you are not serious or willing to follow through on a purchase. Purchaser is responsible for pick-up or delivery charges. Car purchase includes the following items: Porcelain handcrafted Collector's Item 1969 Camaro Pace Car Jim Beam bourbon decanter - filled and with unbroken seal in original box, original 1969 Camaro Owner's Manual, reprinted 1969 Camaro owner's manual, pictures and other documents in photos. Happy Bidding! Thank you for looking. Vehicle is advertised locally. Bidding may end early due to local purchase. On Mar-20-11 at 05:12:47 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a Z-11 - still ONE of only 3,200 produced! (Typo in original description indicates X-11). Cowl Tag and additional pictures have been uploaded for your verification. On the history of this car: we purchased it from a local owner who had purchased it as an investment 20 years prior (approximately 1986), adding it to his personal indoor storage car collection. We had to have it when we first saw the car, and it took us about five years to finally have an opportunity to purchase it! Since, we have kept it covered in our conditioned garage. It has been driven occasionally each year, for shows and events, but mostly just preserved. So for the age and wear and tear on this car, it is really clean! We will upload pictures of the undercarriage today so you can see for yourself. Don't miss it! THIS CAR WILL SELL...if you've been looking for one, here's your opportunity to park it in your garage. Our loss is your gain! Happy Bidding! On Mar-20-11 at 18:07:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Uploaded additional photos of undercarriage 03/20/11. I have additional pictures--was limited to quantity available to upload, but will email upon request. The white paint on the undercarriage in these photos is the original factory paint. The trunk mat is the original mat, with photos taken of pan with mat folded back. Floor pans as viewed from undercarriage (with original factory white paint visible). If you need additional photos, call. Please call only between 5-8PM EST to reach some one (434) 636-2852. Happy Bidding! Thanks for your questions. On Mar-21-11 at 04:51:03 PDT, seller added the following information: We are moving in a few weeks and we don't want to risk not being able to keep this car inside once the other house sells. This was my dream car for most of my life...it has been all I expected and more...the attention it receives when I drive it is unreal! We've had most any kind of car already, but this one really gets everyone's attention! Pictures of it are taken and end up in the paper at most all car shows or wherever we gather with other classics! It has never let me down and has lived up to my expectations, so I want to ensure it is taken care of. It has been well preserved for many years, as you can see from the pictures. Personally I can't allow it to be exposed to the weather and elements at this point! The bidding is still low and below what we have in the car, but it MUST SELL. That's why the reserve was set low. Happy Bidding!
