Vehicle Detail

For sale is a beautiful BMW K1200 RS. It has full power and runs very reliably for me every day, in hot or cold weather. It was recently in for a service and oil change at the BMW dealership and the manager remarked that it looked to be in very good condition. There are a few small cosmetic blemishes, some paint scuffed off on the sides of the fairing and a few scratches on the top of the tank from a traveling bag that was mounted there, but overall this BMW looks really good. The rubber on the hand grips was peeling back a bit so I installed some neoprene replacements that are quite comfortable. Also, the tip of the right brake lever was broken off by a previous owner, which isn't really obvious unless your looking closely. I ride this motorcycle at least once a week and I have never had any problems with it. IN fact, this is one of my favorite motorcylces and I prefer it to my other late model streetbikes. It is very comfortable for longer trips and the aerodynamics are well thought out. It has the full sized windshield installed, but I have a spare that you can cut down if you prefer a little wind in your face. Read about his model at http://www.k12rs.com/RideFast.htm. The paint finish is called Mandarin/Fjord gray and looks sharp.. From seeing the service records, it look like most of the miles on the bike are from the original owner who lived in the San Francisco area. This bike has never seen rough weather. The title is salvaged, but everything on the bike is original and there is no evidence of any accidents or repairs on the frame or anywhere else. In California, the insurance company has the right to salvage the title for most any reason and write off the expense. It may have been retitled because the insurance company didn't want to pay for a new paint job when someone with zero deductible made a claim on the minor scratches in the decal. Nobody knows. I took a few more recent pictures and I circled the spots on the left side where the fairing has a couple scrapes. This is the result of the bike being set down on its side while stationary (it's a heavy bike and I slipped when mounting it) I would feel bad about having set it down on its side but actually, the fairing material is black so the scrape almost matches the paint scheme ;-) Even so, I have to point them out to people viewing the bike because they are not very noticeable. Seriously, The bike really does look great and it never fails to impress when I ride it. Feel free to fly in to LA and ride it home. I've gone 600 miles in day without too much fatigue. I'm selling it to raise money for a non-profit I'm working with and I'm glad to keep it (and show it off) until it sells. Please ask any questions you like and feel free to call me on my cell for more info or to set up a test ride. (562) 665-1508.
