Vehicle Detail
Thank you for looking. Up for auction is a 1977 HONDA CB550 CAFE RACER (chopper or bobber if you like). This bike is absolutely beautiful. Hundreds of hours invested into it. Fullest of quality, care, and attention to detail has been dumped into the motorcycle. Not only beauty but brawn as well. This is the SUPER SPORT model, cb550f. As you search on Ebay you will find that there are many similar bikes for sale. Please do not get sucked into the hype of a company's or builders name. I assure you that the utmost quality went into the build of this bike. Every person that sees it just stares at it for minutes at a time. It is a complete pleasure to hop on and ride. Both kick and electric start. There is no other feeling like it. The bike has a clear California title (Ca bidders - on current non op). Ok,, here are some of the tech about it. New points New condensers New spark plugs New battery (4lbs) New tires (only a couple miles on them) front- 3.25x19 Dunlop Gold seal rear- 4.00x18 Dunlop Gold seal New clubman handle bars New Grips New oil Fresh valve adjustment Carburetors rebuilt and re-jetted Timing adjusted Clutch adjusted Front brake system cleaned, rebuilt (caliper and master) Rear brakes are like new Halogen front light LED rear tail light K and N air filters (not cheap black cone type) Custom cafe style fuel tank (NOS) New fuel tank cap (not pictured) New fuel line and filter Custom one off seat (designed for passenger riding) Hidden battery. Yes, the bike has a battery but is well hidden. You can not even see it in the pictures can you? Hidden electronics under the seat Custom simple wiring harness All access tabs and brackets have been cut off and smoothed out Every bolt, nut, and fastener has been stripped, soaked, and re-coated with an aluminum coating. This gives the bike a very clean, industrial look. ----POLISHING--- All polishing has been done by Barletta's Custom Polishing. The following parts have been polished to a mirror finish -front brake caliper -front brake caliper bracket -front fork lowers -upper triple tree clamp -front brake master cylinder -clutch lever and perch -valve cover -stator cover -sprocket cover -clutch cover -rear brake drum -carb bowls (4) -carb caps (4) -oil filter housing -----PAINT------ The paint on this bike is amazing.
