For sale is a Mercedes C230 Kompressor Sports Coupe. This one owner, dealer maintained coupe has been a terrific sports coupe, a lot of fun to drive. It is a third car now and something major has happened to the engine. That being the case, this clean car can be a great project for someone who has the time and money to take on the repair. If you are a repair service this could be a great opportunity. On searching E-bay I've found several Kompressor engines at aggresive prices, assuming that is the best solution and even with labor, this can be a fruitful project for resale or many years of driving enjoyment at a fraction of buying another C230 that might be listed. I've set a reasonable reserve with future repair in mind and this still comes in many thousand dollars less than other candidates. It has the 1.8 Kompressor engine and option#423, a 5 speed electronic "quick-shift" controlled automatic transmission. Some of the other add-on options include #693 Desert Silver Metallic paint(actually a Gold-dust), #201 Charcoal pebble leather interior (you'll note many C230's offered have cloth interiors), #C1 8-way Power front seats & 3 person memory, both left and right, #C5 Premium Package; auto-dimming driver & rear-view mirror, auto-on rain sensor, full panarama glass sunroof with glass air deflector. It actually is double wide with electric retractable shades for both front and rear cabin. The glass also rear tilts up for fresh air, premium upgraded Bose sound system with integrated 6 disc CD changer in glove box, controlled from steering wheel. It has 5 spoke "double" light alloy wheels, power everything and integrated home-link garage door opener. It also has front and rear factory mud flaps and an extra set of Mercedes heavy rubber floor mats. I'm sure there are particulars I've missed.
