The Shelby GT-H convertible is a member of the Ford Mustang line and was made exclusively for Hertz in 2007 thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Ford Motor Company, Carroll Shelby and Hertz Car Rental. There were 500 GT-H convertibles produced in 2007, and it was only available for rent at select airport locations around the country that feature the "Hertz Fun Collection." The vehicle is similar to the 1966 GT350H Mustang race car, but with updated technology and features. Exterior Features The 2007 Shelby GT-H convertible comes in a black exterior paint and has the appearance of a race car with its gold "Le Mans" dual racing strip and Hertz emblem. The hood comes with a brushed aluminum grille and the Mustang horse emblem. The vehicle was manufactured with a roll bar and supportive bracing to protect the power convertible top. The GT-H also comes with its own unique wheels Interior Features Inside the GT-H there is a badge on the dashboard bearing the production number of the vehicle and the signature of Carroll Shelby. The interior of the vehicle is dark charcoal leather and comes with All documentation as far back as the dealer selling it to Shelby for modification into a Hertz, Rent-aRacer. For entertainment while on your drive, the GT-H comes equipped with a SIRUIS Satellite Radio (you will need to subscribe) and auxiliary input for playing your MP3 or iPod. Engine The Shelby GT-H convertible is powered by a 4.6-liter, V8 engine. It has a five-speed transmission with up to 319 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 320 foot-pounds of torque at 4,500 rpm. The vehicle also comes with a Ford Racing Handling Pack which features lowering springs, special-tuned dampers, a strut tower brace, sway bars and a 3.55-to-1 rear axle assembly along with many other items which make it a "Shelby".
