for sale 1980 MGB with 81,500 miles. I am the 4th owner of the car. This MG was originally purchased by an englishman from Algonquin Motors in Chicago...he owned for a couple of years and sold it to a lady that worked for him. She had until 1999 when her son took ownership. I have the original window sticker for the car. The bodyshell is very straight...no indications of being in an accident. Very rust free with the exception of the dog legs on both sides. The floors, sills, fenders, trunk, etc look good. The Carmine red paint is original...there is some spider webbing on the hood, stone chips here and there....a dent on the trunk lid, but is very presentable. Chrome is in very good condition as is the windshield and door glass. New last year is the install of a gas tank, sender and fuel pump, Special Tuning spoiler, new top, new exhaust, new leather Mountey steering wheel, rebuilt SU HS4 carbs and header.15" alloy wheels, 185/65-15" tires have about 60% tread left. Miata seats have been installed. They have a small tear on the drivers outboard bolster and the seams are separating on the aft side of headrests on both seats. The dash is in excellent condition. All the gauges and electrical items work fine. Car drives very nice. Will be moving the car outside later on next week when it warms up to take more photos. I have this MGB for sale locally so reserve the right to end the auction early. A deposit of $500.00 is due within 48 hours at end of the auction and balance to be paid within 7 days.
