1981 Gas VW Rabbit pick up Caddy for sale. Its a great truck, runs well and starts up every time. It shifts smoothly, no transmission problems and handles well on the road. For 30 years old, it is an outstanding truck. Its a 5 speed manual transmission, 1.7 liter gas fuel injected engine. Cassette player AM/FM Radio. Handles like a sports car and is fun to drive. Clear title and currently registered in California until June 2011. My daily driver (100 mile round trip commuter, four days a week). Lots of recent work completed so it runs perfect. I have all my paperwork and previous owners paperwork of maintainence done. Currently has 170k miles. 2 Small surface rust spots below rear windshield. No other rust, struts are fine. Needs a paint job & headliner. Passed smog on 7-1-2010. New rear brake job. I will also throw in all my VW parts to sweeten the deal (extra windshield w/ rubber seal, extra set of rims w/ tires, extra seats, etc.) The only reason im trying to sell my truck is to buy a better commuter. It does well as a commuter but again it is 30 yrs old and I would like some modern stuff like auto trans, cd player, more comfort, etc. This truck would be great to restore as it has the most important part already, a great mechanical system.
