A black 1978 Mercury Cougar XR7 up for sale. Ford is no longer producing the mercury brand so this car may be something of a collector's item in the future. It has been mostly garage kept in California since I bought it in 2006, smoking free environment. I believe the original origin of this car was Texas, but i cannot be certain. Lots of work went into the engine when I purchased it, paperwork will be included. Engine is a 351 Windsor, 5.8L, dual exhaust (originally single). The car has an 8 track tape player with am/fm radio, very cool. As can be expected with older cars it is not flawless but the engine is in great shape due to the work i put into it. Cosmetically speaking it could use some attention in a few areas. Minor dings in the paint form parking lots, minor crack in the drivers side door interior armrest, a/c will work but needs to be re-charged, left turn blinker does not engage fully so you have to hold it down while making left hand turns. If you are into cars or have the resources, most of these things will be an easy fix for you. It really needs a home with someone that appreciates the value of the brand and can give her some TLC. PayPal is preferred but will accept cash or cashier's check. Will not ship, please find some way to pick her up. She'll drive most places without a problem, probably not across the country though.
