This is a clean 79 chevy swb 4x4. For the most part this is an unmolested example of a well equipped chevy 4x4. It is in exceptionally nice shape, and, has not been screwed up by aftermarket equipment or molested in some fashion other than being factory..Factory options include, 400 cu in sb 4bbl engine, turbo 350, tilt wheel, cruise control, factory guages, factory tach,dual fuel tanks, full time 4x4, two tone paint, and the silverado package. It looks to have never been off road.... I purchased this for a re-body, but, can't bring myself to do it without giving someone the opportunity to put this back on the road...... The good, as seen in the pictures, it is all original, with one repaint the original color. The inside of the bed has never hauled anything except for the spare tire. The lower rockers, fenders, cab, floors, and bed are in amazing condition....it looks to have had the camper shell and bed carpet since new, the inside of the bed is truely amazing. All the moldings are in very good shape, as is the glass, rubbers, paint, and overall condition and truck being complete. It has all the smog equipment in place, as well as the cruise control. All the underside is complete with all the skid plates for the gas tanks, and, transfer case.... The bad: there are 3 rust spots, one on the drivers side hood outer skin, it is in my opinion very repairable, hood hinges are good shape and, the hood has never been bent. The truck has all of its original body panels, and, has never been in a wreck. There is no body filler to speak of anywhere. Rust also is in the drivers side lower windshield area, it looks like water was held here by the windshield rubber, very repairable. 3rd rust spot is in bed were the camper was mounted, it has rusted a hole in the top of the outer bed, the innerstructure is in good shape. The doors don't sag, the window mechanics are very nice. Interior is complete, dash is cracked, tilt part of the column is loose. The engine, looks to be the original engine, has the connecting rod through the pan, it looks like the piston broke up, the wrist pin is still on the rod. I wouldn't hold up too much hope of the block being good. This will be sold with a bill of sale, I have a bill of sale from the original owner, with a copy of the last registration. California wants over $1300.00 for back registration fees to get a title.
