What you are bidding on here is a clone 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440. I purchased this car from the original owner…. I’ll start from the top and tell you that every nut, bolt, washer and screw has been replaced or restored on this car. This is not your typical low dollar E-Bay restoration. This car can easily go to Barrett Jackson auction. I am an investor and a quality restoration technician as I have done all the work on this car including painting, welding, upholstery, motor, transmission, rear end, etc. with no sub labor. I will start with the body…..it was taken down to a bare shell and chemically stripped, sand blasted, sealed, and painted with Dodge curious yellow paint. There is no rust on this car as the floors; trunk floor, firewall and hood are new from front to back. There is no rust around the windows, front or rear or in the drip rails, front or rear. All the other sheet metal on this car is factory original including the rear quarter panels inner and outer. As for the engine this is a 1968 HP 440 that is completely rebuild . No, the motor and transmission are not number matching so you can save thousands to purchase this car with a low reserve price. The motor is 100% complete top to bottom with no leaks, no burning oil, and no smoke and still wears its factory HP exhaust manifold and intake manifold and is date coded correctly for this car. This motor purrs like a kitten and has extreme amount of torque. The transmission has been completely rebuilt front to back with Hemi clutch packs first and second gear including 10 ½ inch factory 2700 Hemi stall converter. The drive shaft was custom made from chrome molly. The rear end is an 8 ¾ original 391 sure grip possi which carries all the heavy duty 440 6-pack/hemi power. The exhaust system is right from TTI that builds all the high dollar Mopar exhausts that are sold at Barrett Jackson. The brakes are new from front to back including front disc brakes, master cylinder, brake lines, calipers, hoses, pads, rotors, etc. and will stop on a dime and give you change. The steering in this car is completely restored with all new bushings, joints, linkage, shocks, and steering arms. This car comes with front and rear factory sway bars. No play and no slop steering. The fuel system is 100% brand new including fuel tank, fuel line, fuel sending unit, fuel pump, fuel filter, carburetor, and air filter. The interior has all new headliner, reupholstered seats, carpet, Rally dash with tac, and is complete right down to the seat belts front and rear and still wears the factory am radio that plays music like new. This car has NO issues with electrical, lighting, starting, charging, horn, brake lights, turn signals, headlights high beam or low beam. And yes the heater blower works fine. As you can see by the photos… I have taken many from top to bottom with nothing to hide. This is a rock solid 1970 Dodge Challenger 440 R/T. I have restored many of these cars throughout the years and I am very aware of what the market value of 70 E-Body Mopars even with this very bad economy. I will be selling this with that in mind. I am not just an E-Bayer that is listing a car to see how high it will go. My STARTING PRICE is extremely reasonable for this type of restoration and buy it now is real so bid early and bid high. I also have the factory original window options listed decal from the Chrysler dealer that is in pristine condition (manufactures suggested retail price label).
