Vehicle Detail
This is a 1973 Plymouth Duster with a newly rebuilt numbers matching 340 engine. I owned this car about 5 years ago and sold it to my uncle who did all of the work to it and I bought it back about a year ago to finish it. Times are hard and I can't hold on to it. There is over $8,000 invested in this car, with over $3500 under the hood. The car runs excellent and has a lot of power. This vehicle is at a point to where a person could invest a little money in it and have a very nice original car to take to shows or to resale. It is a great starting point for this type of project. The interior is in great condition except for a few minor aspects such as the center armrest needs to be replaced, and the front and rear dash pads as well. The heater controls also need to be fixed. Currently there is a fan switch, but none of the heater/defrost controls that direct the air. The speedometer is accurate and the odometer reads 22,454. The engine has less than 500 miles on it since it was rebuilt. It has a new cam with flat-top pistons and applicable parts and has been bored 30 over with a 10:1. It has a Carter AFB with Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. It runs excellent and has new headers with dual flowmaster exhaust. The exterior of the vehicle needs minor body work. Most of the body work is complete, but car needs to be blocked with primer then paint. There are no major dents or dings and it would take very little for this car to be straight. The bumpers have been painted and are in the process of being stripped for new paint. All electrical is in working condition along with turn signals and lights. The glass is in great condition with no noticable chips or scratches. The weather stripping could be replaced, but about a month ago it rained for 5 days straight and there aren't any leaks on the inside. This car has USA Indy Mag racing wheels with brand new tires on the front. Back tires have about 80% tread. Don't get me wrong this car is not a show car yet, but it would take very little effort and very little money for this car to be a screamin' classic to take to shows or the strip. I am no loger listing this car locally. I had the car sold but the buyer never payed. This car must sell. NO RESERVE, NO BUY NOW PRICE, CAR SALES TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER!! Please only serious bidders and if you have any questions feel free to contact me and I will answer with the best of my knowledge.
