Vehicle Detail
I have a 1971 Ford Torino 500 with 98,735 original miles on it. Very clean for it's age. This is a good starter car for someone looking to get into a muscle car. Everything on this car is stock including everything under the hood. She runs great and if you get on the pedal too hard will smoke the tires. Under the hood is a 351C motor with an automatic tranny. It has been garaged most of it's life, except for the last 2 years in which it sat under a tree and was moved every few weeks. The bad: 1) The vinyl roof should be replaced, there is minor surface rust in the lower corners of the rear window where the vinyl is coming up, but nothing deep or bad rust wise. 2) The front seat has tears in it, it's a bench seat that couldn't handle the sun very well. 3) There are minor dents and dings around the car as it sat in a parking lot and received numerous door dings around the outside of the car, people are inconsiderate and treat old cars with little respect. The good: 1) It runs very well and the motor is very strong. I got it from the original owners and it was a well loved car in their family. 2) Everything is there, including the items in the trunk, spare tire, jack, etc.. The inspection stickers are still on the trunk lid and the trunk is very clean. 3) The interior minus the front seat is in very clean good condition, you would swear the knobs and all are brand new, original radio still there and works. The backseat is good as is the headliner, no rips or tears. 4) The original rims and hubcaps are on the car and the chrome looks new. 5) She is a driver, you can drive her all day and everyday right now as she sits. 6) Has the original blue and yellow plates. 7) Registration is current. If your looking for an early muscle car that you can buy and drive, this is the car. This allows you to drive it and hot rod it at the same time. Compared to the cars I have seen out there in this price range this is a steal. On Feb-27-11 at 20:51:41 PST, seller added the following information: Update: I added two more photos of the car, as you can see the Vinyl top is pealing up in the lower corners but after cleaning out the area, there is no rust there, it is dirty paint. The other photo is a better shot of the car, it needs to be waxed, but the paint is still good. -=D On Mar-01-11 at 07:54:37 PST, seller added the following information: Added a Buy it Now price, have had lots of questions about it. -=D On Mar-02-11 at 07:43:28 PST, seller added the following information: Added Photos of the inside of the trunk. -=D
