Up for your consideration is a very snappy 1964 Ford Fairlane 500, 260 V/8 North Dakota Car ! This is a 98% RUST-FREE 4-Door Vehicle which just needs a little "cosmetic finishing" to be 100% ! The motor has only 50 miles on it since it was completely rebuilt by a firm in Grand Forks. The transmission (C-4) was also rebuilt shortly after the motor was...about 25 years ago. The elderly woman who owned it quit driving right after all this work was done and the car sat in the garage until last year. I purchased the car last summer from a friend who knew the previous owners. The vehicle has good tires, a brand new gas tank and a new starter. I just had the carburator rebuilt in July 2010. This car runs and drives and the motor runs beautifully. The transmission valve body sticks a little from sitting. Before driving on the road, the transmission and the brakes should be checked out. The wheel cylinders might need to be rebuilt from sitting. The trunk is in fine condition with the original jack and a spare tire. The car is white (original paint) with silver-gray interior. The interior is pretty good for being 47 years old; the front seat, where the driver sits, needs repair. The windshield is cracked, there is slight damage to the right front door and some damage to the left rear quarter. The little lady bumped a few things ! The car has "add-on" air-conditioning. Apparently, when they rebuilt the motor, they did not install the compressor, so...it needs one ! This car comes with its Registration Card ("back then" Registration Cards were issued instead of Titles). Serial (VIN) Number is 4F42F149040. Obviously, the car needs to be trailered.
