Greetings Volkswagen fans, Up for bid is a 1979 Volkswagen Bus 7 passenger Transporter. The Bus has a custom Silver and Black exterior paint job that is several years old. The interior is unrestored and the original brown and tan color. The good: The van has lots of new parts installed by myself or the previous owner. New starter, shocks on all 4 corners, front brake calipers, brake lines, battery tray, ignition switch, battery, tune up with platinum plugs, fuel filter,EMPI header with new glass pac and a new hot air hose that is on its way from CIP1. New tires on front, 70% tread remaining on rear and all 4 wheel repainted. Original hub caps and interior rubber mats. All glass is good The engine runs strong, my mechanic pressure tested each cylinder and each read 100psi. the clutch appears recent and shifts smoothly. Does not smoke nor leak oil (really!). The needs: rear brakes, RR is leaking brake fluid. Interior is original and needs restored, including headliner. Paint on the roof is starting to peel. i have the rear bumper, the RR bracket is missing and i have not found one locally yet. The middle seat is missing. Rust: Drivers front floor pan, LR right behind wheel well, RR corner, older repair is starting to crack. I have included photos that show areas of need. I bought this Bus and a 65 Beetle within 30 days of each other and have decided to keep the 65. The bus has a CLEAN ARKANSAS TITLE! You could drive it home but keep a check on the brake fluid. Bus is located in Jonesboro, AR. One hour NW of Memphis. There is an airport here that is serviced out of Memphis if you wanted to fly and drive. Please email with any questions
