Last buyer droped out day after bid ended. The Story: Five Years ago I noticed my neighbor draging this car out of his garage and it was love at first site. It reminded me of my first car a 1970 Chevy Malibu Convertable my mother passed to me when I was 16. It had been sitting there since 1981. All original-#'s matching 327/275HP motor #18J186231 TI228HF-no dents- original. I offered him a price and within 2 hours went through it enough to drive it into my garage, jack/block it up 4 feet, and began to disassemble/bag/tag everything. After all, I've done dozens of restos and 6 years in Auto School in the late 70's early 80's and needed to get this one out of my system. Labor intensive love helped take it to bare metel, fresh quarters, best primer, original 1 stage paint color. The frame/bottom was factory undercoaded well yet I sandblasted, wirewheeled, chemically treated and painted. 3X Transmission shifts smooth. Tank was clean and gage works so I just replaced gasline. New springs shocks brakes control arms swaybars tyrods heatercore timingchain waterpump fuelpump mastercylinder relays hoses Rebuilt the radiator ect, ect. I have receipts and the original bill of sale/build sheet/window sticker. Since the resto. the car has sat in my garage for 2 years. I'm too busy to finish someone needs to enjoy it! The car needs 1)an exhaust 2) a top 3) front seat cover and thats about it! I bought an exhaust yet it dosn't fit. Electric top works good and I have the glass. Front cover where you sit has a hole in the upholostury. The rest of the interior is nice with no dents/tears in the dash. Radio works, heater motor, horn, wipers all lights even the buzzer for the key. Body is mostly straight with very small imperfections, paint beutiful yet I noticed the hood now has 2 small areas of bubbling. Deal comes with a fresh gallon of paint, original hubcaps even the bais plie tires if you want them. Chrome missing in photo is in the trunk. Welcome to come and check it out.
