This is the W140 chassis S-class that is considered by some the finest vehicle ever built by Mercedes. It is pearl black with grey/black interior. It features power windows, power door locks, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, automatic climate control with cold air, Bose premium sound system, heated front and rear power seats, burl wood trim, lighted vanity mirrors in the front and rear, door closing assist, double paned side windows for extra insulation against the outside noise. This car is powered by the 5.0L 32 valve v8 engine and a 4 speed automatic transmission. It has the self leveling rear suspension in the back. The wheels are the updated 17" wheels off of the next body S class car. The car has about 204k miles on it. The climate control functions as it should and it blows cold air. All the windows work but the drivers window will not roll up the last inch or so. That one is going to need a new window regulator. The power sunroof works great as well. The electronic throttle actuator that controls the ASR, cruise control, and idle was just rebuilt. This is a common problem on these cars so you wont have to worry about it on this one. The car runs and drives great, the tranny shifts excellent. It does not leak or burn any fluids. The engine starts and runs great with no smoke. It does have a lifter that has a slight tick to it which is common on these when they are run on regular oil. Running it a few thousand miles on synthetic should clear that right up. It also has a check engine light that comes on from time to time but it does not seem to affect the running of the car. I have not chased that down yet. Also, the ASR light is on and I did track that down to a rear axle speed sensor. Its also going to need tires soon. The ones on right now might get you by for a bit but I would plan on replacing them. There is no radio head unit installed at the moment. I have not started it in a while and ran in yesterday. As common on these M119 motors when they sit the lifters will sometimes tick. This one has a lifter that is ticking right now but it usually clears up after its driven a few days. The radio that was in the car was not working and rather than replace it I figure the new owner can install the system of their choice. The car has normal dings and scratches for a car of this age. All and all this would make somebody an excellent car that needs very little work. I already have too many projects and I usually prefer the diesel models myself. If I keep the car myself I will start fixing the little things and sell it for more money later.
