Vehicle Detail

I have alot of time and money invested in this one! Selling way below what i cost to built to fund other projects! 1939 Buick Cop Car Rat Rod - Truely a one of a kind vehicle DRIVETRAIN- Subframed from a Mid 80's station wagon- Power disc Brakes, Heavy duty suspension, hwy gears, etc 70's low mileage olds 350 with matching auto trans- newer carb, alternator, and hoses. It does leave a few drops on the garage floor when it sits for a week or two Newer Autometer gauges that work as they should (except fuel)- 14-15 volts, runs between 185-205 depending on day, ODO/speedo accurate, 10-50lbs oil all the time. Unlike many other rat rods, the donor car (wagon) allowed us to keep the power steering and power disc brakes on it for reliability, convenience, and safety... no more muscling into a parking spot. INTERIOR -Spacious and comfortable with seatbelts in the back seat (kids). Front seat is a bench out of a truck that is on sliders, rear seat a custom boxed in one with cushions. -Door panels are stained wood with autographs from policemen around the country and other misc. posters, badges, etc -Chain steering wheel and beer tap "ICE HOUSE" shifter -Metal bars were screwed onto the inside of the rear windows for the JAIL look, very popular at shows, driving down the highway, around town, and so on... -Split windshield and rear glass were new when car was built, but the door glass is long gone!! The rollers are still present and working, but again, there is no door glass! EXTERIOR- The body is in decent shape for a RAT, there was some rust around the edges but was quickly sanded, primed, and painted over to slow it up. The doors and trunk were painted white, to offset the rest of the black car and give it a POLICE look. The doors were shot before the body was on the frame!! They are not mock bullet holes MISC- It does have a siren and light that are in WORKING order, but street use is not reccommended. The gas tank was relocated to trunk, but was boiled out, cleaned, and painted before using. It needs a new sending unit for gas gauge to work perfectly. Smoothie wheels and white wall tires were BRAND NEW when it was built, which was about 2500 miles ago... and this car is not abused so they are still like new. All lights: blinkers, brakes, headlights, brights, etc work great!! The hood scoop/vent does work, but is missing the lever (have to open from outside). It provides a good rush of air in the summer time! The battery was replaced 1.5 years ago and the alternator was replaced last summer. The car is in great running and driving condition, especially for a rat rod. Because of its suspension, motor, and highway gears, it cruises around town or down the highway straight and smooth! I have taken this car on many trips, some over 2 hours one way, and have never had an issue with reliability. This really is the "looker" at shows, around town, or cruising down the highway. Everyone pulls out their camera or phone to snap a pose next to it, especially families with kids. Since the car was a barnfind, it doesnt have a title, which is its only downfall. There are many ways to go about getting a title for it though, so if you are in the hot rod business, you should be able to find a way around it to get it licensed. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns 314.882.7939 I am only selling this to fund other projects and get a V Drive flatbottom boat, otherwise it would never leave my sight!!!
