Vehicle Detail

Up for grabs is my 1966 Mustang GT, it’s a 4 speed, 289 4 barrel, front disc brakes, factory fog lights, dual exhaust, A/C (not working but compressor spins), power steering. The car runs and drives good, brakes are good, all of the instruments work, radio works, lights and turn signals work except two lights where the lenses are cracked, even the reverse lights work. The car shifts good and the clutch is good but there is a little chatter when you let out the clutch in first gear and it’s a little sticky going into second gear. Its better after the car heats up a bit, my guess is that the flywheel may have some rust or gunk on it and I am sure it needs the gear oil changed. I have driven it down the highway with no problem. The car is fast, it will smoke the rear tires. This car has been sitting a very long time so it needs a tune up, fluid change, etc. I bought this car locally and the previous owner had it since the early 1980's. I have done nothing to this car except a radiator and battery, it starts easy and idles nice. The car does have its bumps and bruises, the hood is shot, needs to be trashed, also the windshield (original) is broken. The car has had some hail dents in the past, mainly on the hood, roof and trunk lid. There is a dent and rash on the driver's quarter panel. Also, the front and rear valances are bent as well as the bumpers. The interior is pretty good, but needs TLC. Headliner is perfect, dome light works! The frame is solid, the trunk is solid and the floor pans look good except for a couple small spots on the passengers side (see pics). This Mustang would make a great start to a cool project. I am buying some older Harleys and need to raise some funds. I would also consider Harley Panhead trades. Email me with any questions and look carefully at the pictures to make sure it is what you want, it needs work! I have a clear AR title in hand. Low reserve, I want to sell it….here is the VIN # and code info I have on it… Warranty Number: 6R07A216571 Year: 6 1966 Plant: R San Jose, CA Body Series: 07 2 Door Hardtop Engine: A 289 4v V8 Unit: 216571 216571 Miscellaneous Vehicle Data Body: 65B 2 Door Hardtop, Pony Interior Color: 8 Springtime Yellow Trim: 66A Black Crinkle Vinyl, Pony Interior Date: 15F June 15, 1966 D.S.O: 71 Los Angeles Axle: 1 3.00:1, Conventional Trans: 5 4-Speed Manual
