Well over $20,000 invested in this pro touring project, it just needs a new owner to complete. Most of the major work has been completed and we have almost everything to finish the car. This Nova has new front floor pans, full rear quarter panel skins with powder coated wheelhouses, new doors, new core support, new package tray, new trunk lid, and new cowl induction hood. The firewall has been smoothed and painted gloss black. There is still some body work to be completed before paint, but most of the major work has been completed. The front sub frame has been powder coated, as well as the upper and lower control arms, and the entire front suspension is new with poly bushings. The sub frame is strengthened to the rear with powder coated Hotchkis sub frame connectors. The car has all new 4 wheel disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors, and a mini power brake booster with a new disc master cylinder. The engine is a 1972 402 casting number 3969854 and dynoed at over 550 hp (flywheel). Equipped with ported and polished steel heads, a steel crank, forged pistons, Competition Cam, full roller valve train, high-rise aluminum intake, Mighty Demon carburetor, long tube jet hot coated headers, sheet metal valve covers, and custom accessory pulleys / brackets. Over $7000 was invested in the engine alone. A custom 3 row aluminum radiator has been installed for cooling. A Sanden a/c compressor is in place to complete the air installation. The transmission is a fully built Transgo Turbo 400 with 2800 stall converter. The build cost of the transmission and converter was $2800. The rear end is a 10 bolt GM with Moser axles, Auburn posi unit, and 3.73 Richmond gears. The rear suspension has been totally rebuilt with new leaf springs, shackles, and new shocks. The front and rear seats are out of a 2006 GTO. The factory dash is there (in good shape), repainted factory steering column, and new steering wheel. The headliner bows are mounted in place. As mentioned, a good portion of the parts to complete the car are in my possession. There is a complete set of stainless brake lines, along with the e-brake cables. There is an extra set of doors with glass installed and we have the quarter windows. The engine wiring harness is the original, but is in decent shape. There is quite a bit of trim available (both interior and exterior), and the headlight and tail lights are there. A short list of things needed to complete: Front and rear glass Drive Shaft Wiring installation Completion of a/c Grill Front bumper Tires and wheels of choice Completion of interior installation Fuel Tank Overall, most of the major work is done to this car. It will make an excellent winter project that can be up and running in time for the cruising season. This Nova does not run and will need to be transported accordingly. We might entertain trades for cars, but no bikes. Reasonable Rides and Rods is located in Lewisville, Texas just minutes from DFW Airport in Dallas.
