1959 Chevrolet Apache 31 3100 Pickup Shortbed Stepside VIN 3A590120720 Clear license until 11/30/11 License and registered. You are bidding on an unrestored original 1959 Chevrolet Stepside Shortbed Pickup. It is very very difficult to find an original pickup in this condition. The truck runs great. PLEASE READ READ ENTIRE ADD CAREFULLY. Good: Engine: Straight 6 - Starts right up and goes. Manual Transmission: 3 on the tree Bench Seat: Not the original seat but we are looking for the original seat (can't guarantee we will find it, but if we do, it will be included) Shortbed with wood bed. Stepside with spare rack Original color was Teal/Turquoise Stears strong and straight down the Highway. Constant 60 to 75 without problems. Headlights work (needs alignment though) Box step boards and door step boards are in great condition Front end around headlights good condition, no rust, not dinged up or dented Whether it be a Restoration Project, Custom Restoration, or Keeping it original - this is the truck to use! All front end chrome is in great shape, but if restoring, it might need to be rechromed, but not dents or missing parts. Body is good/great body all over. Floor is very good, solid, very, very light surface rust. Bed and inner walls, really straight, no major dings or dents. Spare Tire is brand new, never used. Clutch is strong Bad: Tires are pretty good, 3 of 4 pretty good 4th ? Speedometer doesn't work Fuel gauge doesn't work Not the original rear bumper original was the wrap around type Passenger door handle doesn't work from inside. Turn signals don't work, (Window rolls up and down, so hand signals can be used) Windshield has one small rock chip in it. Ugly: Driver door has a fixable dent,friend backed into it when parked There is a bad paint job done on it, but no bondo found on it. Original color was a real nice turqoise/teal green A couple of small ding, dents in tail gate. REMEMBER - This is a California Truck so not a lot of rust, small area on each cab corner, and behind the front tires, very small, everything else is great. Awesome project truck. Definitely one to restore or customize. We think this is the original engine, but with such an old truck we can't guarantee it. It really does run great though.
