Here we have a nice truck that has been updated to a later model setup. The body is a 1949 Studebaker truck that was in pretty solid condition. The frame and drive line is a 1972 Chevy C-10 equipped with a 350 motor with 010 block casting, 4 bolt mains, the tranny is a 350 turbo and the rear is a 12 bolt posi with 3:23 gears. The motor and tranny were rebuilt 3 years ago and only have 3000 miles on them. The frame was professionally shortened 6" to accomodate the Studebaker body. But it still has the original bumpers and seat. It has disc brakes, new tires,newer exhaust system. A lot of custom metal fabrication done to the radiator shroud, inner fenders, chrome traction bars and a new gas tank. Motor has new 750 carb,starter,battery,plugs,wires,belts gauges, glass and hoses. Body work is done and needs a final sanding then paint. The pic's can answer most questions. The motor has had a mild cam and extensive head work done when motor and tranny were rebuilt. Truck is pretty quick. Oh, by the way, this is my daily driver. All lights and gauges work fine. Truck was also re-wired with new updated harness. Still needs wiper motor(on e-bay, electric) and heater core reworked.
