This car was stored inside for many years. The body is in excellent shape. I have not driven it winters. The interior of the car is original and excellent shape. The previous owner had the headliner redone. The car is rare in that it does not have the sunroof. I was doing some work on my house and scratched the back corner of the rear hatch. A door was being taken past the car and caused the scratch. The car is at my friends house in TN. I have decided not to bring it home to Wisconsin and just sell it as is in TN, the car is located in Beechgrove TN about 30 miles southeast of Nashville. I have a clear title in my name and will sign it over to the new owner. I hope this location is more central to a buyer than having it up north in Wisconsin. I bought a rebuilt 1.6 diesel engine and installed that with a new clutch and a 5 speed diesel transmission. I had the injection pump rebuilt. After that the car blew the head gasket. I have to many cars and trucks anyway so I am selling it as is. The car will need to be towed or hauled. I am listing with no reserve and high bidder wins. I have put a fair amount into the car and it is old school cool with the GTI body and awesome fuel milage of the vw diesel engine (50 mpg).
