Vehicle Detail
With just over 59,000 miles showing on the odometer, this 6.2 liter V8 Detroit powered diesel has 3-speed turbo hydramatic 400 transmission. Body is in good condition and the only mechanical problem at the minute is the centrifugal type front wheel locking hubs are stuck in the free position. They seem to be stuck with congealed grease and I am in process of cleaning them up. The transfer case works fine and engages the front driveshaft which turns the front differential and front drive axles ok. I had intended on replacing these hubs with manual locking hubs ($137/set for Warn 209-90s at local auto parts store) before I decided to sell. I bought this in California recently and drove it 650 miles, 65-70 mph on I-10 and it cruised up the hill from Phoenix's elevation of 1100 ft. to 7,000 ft. at our ranch at an average 60 mph getting 16 mpg on diesel fuel. At 50-55 mph is gets 18 mpg. Selling it because we just sold most of our ranch and really don't need it now. (Want to get a 30' travel trailer, may consider a swap.) The driver's side of the bench seat is worn and torn. Dashboard has serious cracks, afterall - it's 25 yrs. old, but this truck will last another 30 years - it is tough like you can't imagine ! Has military rifle rack each side of the cab. Has 2- 12 volt batteries to provide 24 volts to the starter, but all lamps are 12 v. Windshield is in good shape. You will note this listings states "A History report is not avaiulable......" - the exact explanation is the 4th one: "Vehicle not intended for the U.S. market....." because it is a military vehicle. The Vin is valid - appears on the title as well as on the Vin plate inside driver's door. To see or test drive it, please call me at the number below. To ask questions, just email me. Located 48 mi. east of Springerville, AZ, 38 mi. southwest of Quemado, NM via US Highway 60. About an hour and a half drive from Show Low, AZ and 3 1/2 hrs. from Albuquerque. 575-773-4272
