Vehicle Detail
One of only 4,993 Cobras of its kind manufactured, this jet black clearcoat 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra was the first auto designed by Ford's SVT (Special Vehicle Team). This year's Cobra was the last of the popular "pony" body style, and features subtle upgrades from the GT model including: * Upgraded transmission & suspension, GT-40 "high flow" Headers and specially tuned mufflers * Front & Rear Disc Brakes with 17" rims * Redesigned bodywork (rear wing, revised rear fascia to allow for straight stainless steel exhaust tips, and Cobra labels and insignias) This vehicle also features a soft grey leather interior, power driver's seat and drivers and passenger side air bags. My Mustang was garage kept for all of its life and was kept in storage for 10 of the last 18 years (1999-2009). The vehicle has been brought back to operating condition and runs well. Repairs which are needed include the following: * Replacement of the "heater core" - a small radiator behind the dash that operates the heater; water left in the vehicle left deposits in the original heater core. The part costs about $100 and requires about 6 hours of labor to replace * Replacement of rear shock absorbers. * Replacement of all 4 tires (the existing tires are the originals and the tread is starting to separate) I am reluctantly selling this vehicle after 18 years and hope to find someone who appreciates both the history of an American original and the can give this car a good home. I am the original owner and this car has never been in an accident. I would have liked to pay for these repairs myself but am not able to afford them at this time. I have adjusted the minimum set for the auction accordingly. There are some scratches on the hood where a metal tool box fell in the 1994 Northridge earthquake. The edges of the box left a few marks. Please see the photos that I've provided. I can make the vehicle available for an inspection and can provide an up-to-date Carfax report.
