This is one of the, if not the nicest 1987 Chevy Sprint you will see. Rare find! Documented 45 miles per gallon, in this day and age, this is great for a gasoline powered vehicle. For all intents and purposes it is a Suzuki Swift with the Chevy name on it. The Geo Metro is also virtually the same car. This car has an automatic transmission and air conditioning. This was owned by one woman who kept incredible records. Everything has been documented, receipts for everything! ALL maintenance records since new are included. But wait there is more! We even have the build sheets, window sticker and sales brochure and original key with key code. This car currently has only 65715 original miles on it. We have everything documented to prove it. It also has a current smog certificate that is good until Feb. 11th 2011. We are going to list this in order: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.... The Good: Paint is good inside and out. This is a California car and is rust free and corrosion free! The under body still has the factory paint. Door wells and panels are excellent. Seats and Dash are great, no rips, cracks, or tears. Even the window seals and door moldings are like new. Carpet - No rips, tears or excessive wear. Seat fabric - Very good condition again, no rips, tears or excessive wear. Dash has no cracks, chips, tears, color is vibrant and like new. Pictures show this. Back seat was hardly used if ever. Interior roof liner - like new! Original spare tire - never used. All lights and controls work. Radio and Cassette player work. Air conditioner and heater work Exterior Paint great condition all original and shiny - no oxidation. Bumpers in good shape, no cracks or dents! Glass windshield, and side glass all good, no ships, cracks not even pitting! Rear seat drops down to make larger storage area. New Sears Diehard Battery. All new tune up - plugs, plug wires, Rotor... Great, Great Gas mileage - documented at 45 miles per gallon. Exhaust is like new. Auto Transmission strong. Brakes are good! The Bad: Drivers seat and drivers side carpet could use a steam cleaning, not real dirty, but not as pristine as the others. Tires are at about 50% It does run rough on idol at times. According to a mechanic, it is possible because this car was used so little, the carburetor may be gummed up or need rebuilding adjusting. Compression is excellent! Also since it was used so seldom we think the lower rings are sticking. It is using some oil. We have put additive in the fuel and oil to clean it and it is getting better, so rings might be loosening up. Mechanic said the rings may need to reseat. It is using less oil now. Worst possible case scenario - If you hire a garage to change the rings and carburetor (about $500), you will have virtually a new car. This Suzuki engine was also used in the Suzuki Swift and the Geo Metro. This engine has been known for going more than 200,000 plus miles easily and excellent gas mileage. JUST A NOTE: In the pictures there are some dark spots on the pavement - these were not made by this car!!!!! The Ugly: Exterior - It has a small dent in the hatchback to the left of the license plate and there is a scratch on the driver door about 8" X 1". Molding around rear license plate is slightly faded. Not as red as the rest. One of the little caps on the wheels is missing.
