Up for auction is an extremely nice 1998 Audi A4 2.8L, Quattro, w/ Tiptronic (auto) transmission, 104,xxx actual miles. We are the second owners of the car. We purchased the Audi in 2002 from a local St. Louis owner. This is a 3rd car for us and we just don’t drive it enough and would like to free up the garage space. The car is in excellent shape and has been primarily serviced locally by Plaza Audi and Walters Foreign Cars (a Bosch Service Center). All maintenance has been kept up, including all scheduled oil changes using Mobil One full synthetic oil. Recent repairs include; new front brakes and rotors, the valve cover gasket replaced less than 2,000 miles ago, and a new NAPA Gold 75 month battery was purchased in Feb. 2009. The timing belt and water pump where replaced at 85k miles (have receipt from Walters). The car has four matching Dunlop SP Sport 8000 tires with approximately 65% of tread remaining on the front and 45% on the rear. The car has never been smoked in and still smells like leather. Overall, the leather is in excellent condition with the exception some extremely light wear on the outer driver bolster from getting and out of the car. The carpets are very clean and free from any major stains or imperfections. The headliner is clean and in great shape. The exterior of the Audi shows in excellent condition for a car of its age. The only noticeable exterior flaws are a couple of dings in the back door on the driver’s side, which could likely be removed by a paint less dent removal service, a couple chips in the back bumper and narrow scratch on the passenger side. Everything else is pretty small rock chips you would expect. But again, this car is in really nice shape for its age.
