Up for auction here you’ll find an immaculate 1996 Corvette Coupe. This was unquestionably the cleanest 1996 LT4-equipped Corvette I could find 5 years ago and still remains that way today. I searched the entire state of Texas for almost a year to find this ultra-clean car. This Corvette has only 40,764 miles, and only a small edge of the driver’s seat shows a little “rub.” There are a few very small scratches on the console. I can find no paint chips or scratches, or imperfections in/on the fiberglass. The rubber nose has a couple of smudges. The only interior area that is not perfect (besides the small seat rub) is the carpet in the back hatch area. There is a patch roughly 6" in the center of the carpet where something scraped the carpet down to the bottom of the pile. It IS noticeable. The replacement piece is about a hundred bucks. I just never cared to re-do it. This car is blessed with the very powerful Grand Sport LT4 engine option. 1996 was THE ONLY YEAR the LT 4 engine was produced because it was so expensive to construct. The LT4 was only used in Corvettes with manual transmissions because it had too much power for the automatic transmission. It is an incredibly powerful engine. The car has the factory 6-Speed Transmission. I understand it was made by BMW. Great transmission! Shifts very well. The car is completely stock. Nothing has been removed or replaced. I have only put about 6,000 miles on the Vette in the last 5 years. I drive it to work occasionally or on weekend cruises. It has only been rained on once. It stays in a garage under a breathe-able car cover (included). I use only Mobile 1 Synthetic Motor Oil. The tires are average. The car is ultra clean and performs like it should. It’s very fast.
