Vehicle Detail

1986 ISUZU TROOPER II ~ 4 WHEEL DRIVE (2 SPEED) 5 SPEED TRANNY Extraordinary Condition RUGGED AND READY Burgundy Beauty Recently, a 1986 Trooper II with about *200,000 miles* went for $5500 Get this one now, while it lasts, with only 125,000 miles for $4595 Super sturdy Isuzu Trooper II with 4 wheel drive, and 5 speed tranny. Only 124K miles. Owned by a non-smoking, non-adventurous naturopath who kept this vehicle garaged and in extraordinary condition. When you come across one of these rarities from the 80's, they've always put in their time and are pretty beat or worse. Not this one. It's not perfect (note 3 flaws below) but for being 26+ years old, this is a rare jewel. You know how rare these are, and in this condition, even more so. READY AND EAGER FOR OFF-ROAD, ROUGH TERRAIN AND WINTER SNOW DRIVING. Seems there are some wild folk out there witH un-backupable offers of up to $4200 so far. iIt's still here because those offers were spurious, not for lack of interest (we usually get several offers each day) So if you're a legitimate person and interested, drop us a line and we'll see what we can work out. PHOTO BELOW: Here it is, running (see the exhaust). Maybe you had one of these, wore it out, and you know how good they are, so want to replace? Beautiful burgundy - brick red color. A fellow Trooper owner claims it's called "Burnt Orange" by Isuzu. One, of many such unsolicited notes received (used with permission): "Hi wanted to say that I own one of these trucks and everything you have stated is true. I would recommend this truck to anyone who can grab it. They are bullet proof." - J Well, I don't know about *that* and I'm not going to find out :) But Trooper's are mighty tough. It's HIGH, with exceptional ground clearance, leaf spring rear end, so it's very well suited for recreational use in rugged terrain. A poor man's Jeep? Plus, everything is so accessible and simple, that when you do maintenance or repairs, it's a breeze. No computers. No secret codes. Just an engine, connected to a drive train, topped with a body. Nice, easy roll-up windows, side vent windows, and slide back windows. "CORRECTION" - (received from Doc, a fellow Trooper owner) - "Correction: a Trooper is NOT a poor man's Jeep. A Jeep is a poor man's TROOPER!! If I was on the west coast I would buy it for my daughter. Mine is a 2000 purchased new, she is my baby. Just turned 150,000. Never put anything in it but a starter, excluding regular maintenance. Everything works, seats and interior still look nearly new! Have hauled furniture, home improvement materials, and can easily haul 30+ bags of mulch with seats dropped. It is a tank in a chariot's body as far as I am concerned. Smooth ride, okay gas mileage, luxury ride in a heavy duty vehicle. Plows through snow, very stable. I'm with mine until it is not feasible to repair any longer, whenever that time comes :( Just sips a bit of oil, but just keep it checked. You may post this for anyone inquiring about a Trooper. If folks knew what they were getting, they would snap these up while they are still available. Good luck, she is beautiful :) " TWO DOOR SPLIT REAR ENTRY. Note how clean the interior is. No dogs or smoking. Doesn't even look like it's hauled anything, the carpet is in such good shape. Super easy loading of everything you need to haul around! SEATS FOUR (Although back-seat passengers cannot comfortably be really LARGE folks. ) The rear seat folds down and is easily removable for increased versatility. HEADLINER immaculate, showing the near-pristine condition of the interior, matching the well-maintained, shiny exterior. Yes, that is the original paint job. It's just been garaged most of the time. Interiors smells good (translation: no dog or other odor). Here are the three known flaws: Driver's side rear corner has this ding: The rear bumper, passenger side, is missing a corner and is bent. The windshield, passenger side, has a chip and cracks, which haven't spread beyond what you can see in photo below. The DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD, AND CENTER, ARE FINE. IT'S READY WHEN YOU ARE. Starts easy, almost no oil leak (less than 3 oz/year or two), tires fine, battery fine, no engine problems noted. Timing belt replaced around 69K. Oversize coolant reservoir professionally installed. It's a simple, efficient 4 cylinder gas engine, so you won't win any races, but when others are stuck, you will be the only one left free. With the 5 speed transmission, you can even drive on the freeway well. The nimble turning radius and height are great at low to moderate speeds, but be careful at high speeds as it's possible to make this vehicle tip (according to reports. This one never has even come close.) Zip over the snow drifts, get in and out of parking lots and driveways in the winter when others are stuck in their houses and can't move! Yes, even the top and hood is shiny and in great condition. What looks like possible dents by the driver's windshield washer blade are actually reflections. Front is ready for winch, or whatever dressing up you want to customize it with. Opening the Driver's door.... IN THE COCKPIT: Engine off. Had an inquiry about the condition of the front seats, since they're covered. They're pretty much the same condition as the back seats - because they've always been covered! IN THE COCKPIT: Engine started, running and stable. Note gauges. IN ADDITION TO THE 5 SPEED TRANNY, YOU GET THIS LITTLE GEM: 2 SPEED FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. Excellent when you want maximum traction and control, (e.g. snow) Here's what the passenger sees.... All this, AND an easily removable BACK SEAT! Note the cleanliness. This a 26 year old vehicle. Doesn't look like it! CHECK IT OUT. This little beauty has been lovingly maintained. Look how easy and accessible most everything is! This makes it ideal for do-it-yourselfers. Only modification has been to add the oversized coolant reservoir (red cap). No, this wasn't steam or otherwise cleaned, and it's a 1986! It's just been garaged, and well-cared for. HEAVY DUTY TIRES ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. BUY IT NOW FOR $4595.11 AND STOP LOOKING! CONSIGNED VEHICLE - DRIVER AVAILABLE LOCAL PICKUP ONLY - if you're in the Pacific Northwest, it may be possible to drive it to you for a negotiated fee depending on distance. If you contact us, and didn't read this far, shame on you :) Many answers are IN THE AD. Take care!
