Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my blacked out Trans AM WS6 monster!!! I'm sad to have to sell it, but I need money for a down payment on a house now that I got married. It is actually a '95 Ram-air hard top that has been upgraded to the 2002 body style. It has 97k original miles on it and gets compliments wherever it goes. I've never dyno'd it, but it has aproximately 425-450HP and runs like a scalded ape!!! Just an FYI... this car drives like a NASCAR, not a Cadillac. If you want a kushy quiet ride that you can listen to classical music in, I regret to inform you that this is not the car for you. So now that you are prepared for EXCITEMENT! Without further delay, here you go! -------------------------------- -- A brief history of the car -- -------------------------------- It was custom-orderd new from GM for an enthusiast named Larry, who did a few mods to it and gave it to his wife to drive. She only put 16k miles on it driving it down the street to work and back. I bought the car from them in November '99 with extremely low miles. I am the second owner and it has been my baby! I have loved this car and taken good care of it. It was a daily driver for about a year, then became my hobby car since mid 2000 when I started daily driving a boring car as I didn't like sitting in traffic in such a magnificent machine. It has always been garaged, and maintained regularly, and professionally repaired, and driven responsibly. (I have receipts that go several years back if you are interested in seeing them). Here is a list of upgrades: ----------- -- MOTOR -- ----------- - LT1 Corvette motor with stock Ram-air - LT4 Hotcam 525/525 - Ported and polished the heads - GM Bowtie roller rockers - 180 thermostat ------------ -- INTAKE -- ------------ - K&N ram-air style air-filter - Air Charger butterfly ------------- -- EXHAUST -- ------------- - Hooker Headers - Borla Catback stainless (this car is LOUD) - Cat is hollowed out (I have another bolt-on high-flow cat to put on for inspection purposes) ---------------- -- DRIVETRAIN -- ---------------- - 6-speed Borg Warner transmission (recently rebuilt with forged parts) - 4.10 rear end gears (recently rebuilt with forged parts) - Kevlar clutch - Hurst shifter ---------------- -- SUSPENSION -- ---------------- - AGX adjustable shocks (stiffness settings go from 1 to 8) - Eibach springs (lowered the car 1.25") - Frame to rear-end links - Hotchkis panhard bar - Strut tower brace - Weld-in sub-frame connectors ------------------ -- WHEELS/TIRES -- ------------------ - Black powder coated Corvette ZR1 style rims - Sumatumo 275/40/ZR17 front and 315/35/ZR17 rear with less than 5,000 miles on them ------------ -- Brakes -- ------------ - Upgraded to the LS1 calipers/rotors - Cross-drilled and slotted zinc coated rotors - Race-grade ceramic brake pads - Red steel braided brake lines ------------------ -- SOUND SYSTEM -- ------------------ - 14 speakers of fantastic sound - Custom subs with sub box, amp, x-over -------------- -- INTERIOR -- -------------- - Professionally done custom painted silver interior panels and bezels - Tinted windows (yes, legal) - Blue LED interior lights (I have the originals if you don't like the blue) ---------- -- Misc -- ---------- - LED tail lights with the "cougar style" of sequential tail light action mod. - Silver hood vents and side vents - Smoke "black-out" covers for the front turn signals, rear side markers, and tail lights. I will ship the car if you want me to, but I require full payment clearing my bank prior to it being loaded out. Local pickup is preferred, of course. Disclosures and stuff: This car is sold without warranty expressed or implied, yada, yada, ... As you can see from some of the pictures, on the bottom of the lip of the front bumper, there are some scratches from where road debris scratched it. Also, there are your typical minor rock chips on the front bumper that I touched up with a tiny dot of black paint. I did a pretty good job, consequently I wasn't able to capture them in any pictures. Little stuff that doesn't work: Cruise control has never worked since I bought it. I don't use it. Air Bags have been disabled because I don't believe in them, so don't be surprised when you turn the key and see the Air Bag indicator come on. CD player skips sometimes when going over bumps. There is a loose connector on the left front hub carrier, sometimes causing the ABS to disable. The brakes still work fine when it does this though, so don't get excited, you can reach it through the wheel with your hand and push it in. Don't drink and drive... Enjoy! :-)
