Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is 1968 68 Elcamino SS 396 427 Muncie 12 bolt posi. This car started out as a father son project years ago. We basically did a full restoration except we didn't repaint everything. All the brakes, bushings, rearend, interior, steering stuff, etc are either new or rebuilt to new. This is a very sharp car. It gets alot of looks. As you can see from the pics, the interior is like new. Very nice, show quality. The body is driver quality. In high school I took a autobody class, learned as much as I could, I did my best. Unfortunately we didn't have a big garage and most of what I did was outside. Towards the end it did get too cold for filler and some of that didn't stick the best. The car has no rust holes or anything like that, and is very straight. For a driver you can leave as is and get looks all day long. If your turning this into a show car though, there are areas (basically the areas I worked on when it was colder) that will need some redoing. Right now it is finished in a gloss black paint that we added a slight bit of flattener to. Very nice look. Shiny but its not. The car is a original V8 car, also a original 4 speed car, when we got it there was no motor/trans but it was set up for a big block so that is what we put in. Whether or not it is a original SS big block car I don't know. The car was originally Matador red with a black interior. Very nice combination. The car also does have a 12 bolt 4.10 posi rear end. Just so there is no confusion, my dad has started another muscle car project and has laid claim to the motor/trans and wheels that are in the car in the pics. It will come with another set of rally wheels (so basically it will look the same) just not this exact set. There is alot of things hiding in garages that I know about, so if your interested in the car and a particular motor/trans let me know, and I'll do some looking. Another note here, over the summer I had a soccer mom bump the drivers door at a car show with her mini van. I pulled everything out and got it pretty close. If your leaving it as a driver it will be fine as is. If your doing a show car I would reskin it. I expect a $500 deposit within 5 days after the auction ends. I expect the balance in 10 days after the auction ends. I would like the car picked up within 30 days after the auction ends. I will accept cash when you pick it up or you can wire my bank the money. If you have a problem with any of this ask me, I'm easy to get along with.
