Vehicle Detail

This is not your standard issue El Camino! The body style is modeled after the earlier Chevy Sedans from '57 & '58. Still has the fins, and looks and runs great.Last year I had the steering box rebuilt, and the upholstery, headliner, carpet, and seats were replaced 4 years ago. This is the 1960 Elky I bought for my wife as a late birthday present in may 2009. This is truly a great car to drive/ride in (especially as a couple) and starts conversations everywhere I go (even the parking lot at the grocery store and pharmacy). We are closing on a house soon and don't have a garage to keep her in and I refuse to let her come to harm in the elements or in a storage locker. She is an original California car. Still has the original plates, and until I brought her here, she has never been out of California and Arizona. We drove her up Route 66 from LA to Oklahoma City last year in October and shared the most memorable vacation ever, because of this car. I really am sad to let her go. This is our weekend driver car, never more than 5-10 miles a drive, and haven't been more than 100 in the last year. With the weather the way it is here in Missouri, we never take her out in the rain, dust or cold. I have pictures of nearly every inch of this car from every angle so please don't hesitate to ask for them via email. Please contact me with any questions you have, I will be happy to disclose ANY AND ALL questions. Thanks for your time, and hopefully happy bidding! On Jan-04-11 at 06:54:38 PST, seller added the following information: This is not your standard issue El Camino! Hey Robbie, I should send everyone your way with questions, you had her first! :)On Jan-04-11 at 14:38:26 PST, seller added the following information: Sorry about the double post everyone, and to Robbie for outing him! I have put up a facebook page just for the pics, there are close to 100 pics up, so take your time, and have fun looking! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=22317&id=100001511877836&saved The only way to see them though, is if you have a facebook page. You do not need to be my friend, you just need an account which is free. All you have to do is enter your e-mail info and follow the prompts, once signed in, either click on the link here or copy and paste it into your browser. Thanks again to everyone for all the questions! And as for shipping, it is at your expense, and is usually around $900 to $1500 depending on who you go with. I can set all of it up, but it would require a separate payment and extra verification. -CalebOn Jan-05-11 at 06:59:56 PST, seller added the following information: The original color was likely Blue. So said a little birdie. Thanks again everyone for all the questions, keep them coming!
