Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on my sunshine yellow Datsun 510 sedan. Please read the entire listing and bid to buy. NO RESERVE. NO RESERVE. NO RESERVE. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a Beautiful Datsun 510 sedan. What a time machine. After reading the description and looking at the pictures, call or email John if you have any questions. 614-327-7079 -Previous California car (Berkley) -Full maintenance records -Service manual -5-speed conversion -New head -Weber carb -New exhaust -Runs and drives great! Interior- Incredible seats, carpet, dash--all the best I have seen. No cracks in dash. Headliner great, but has small amount of discoloration around the edges. All gauges work, including the tachometer. Cassette player in glovebox. Small amount of scuffing on the sill plates. Heater, wipers, horn, window cranks all work as they should. The turn signal stalk needs to be replaced; does not turn on left turn signal. I will include a NEW OEM unit with the car. All I can say about the interior is...NICE! Exterior- Professionally refinished around 15 years ago using the correct lacquer paint--original Datsun sunshine yellow. Extremely straight body. Has rust around the rear wheel lips. Rocker panels have rust holes in them, but buyer will receive one OEM rocker assembly and one good used rocker assembly for free! The chrome and other trim is in awesome condition. Floors are very solid. No rust in shock towers. Small rust spot, size of quarter, on driver's side fender. Buyer will receive a NEW OEM fender with the car! Doors close nicely; this is a solid little car. Some small rust here and there, but presents itself nicely. Mechanical- New head recently installed. Has a 5-speed conversion. Shifts very nice. Clutch feels great.Miles on odometer exceed the mechanical ability of the unit. Weber 2bbl carb. Secondaries unhooked due to sticking. Runs and drives great, would have a little more power with this fixed. I will include another Weber carb for parts to the winning buyer. Brakes, tires, steering, suspension all in working order. Tires are like new. Would I drive this car across country? Yes I would, but that is no guarantee that it would make it. New exhaust with chrome tip. New distributor single point. The oil pan has a few dents in the bottom. Runs smooth and cool at 65mph. Conclusion- This is not a new car. If you expect one, go to your local Datsun dealer. What it is, in my opinion, is a beautiful example of the Datsun 510 sedan. With a little work, it could be a show winner, or enjoy as is. Clear Ohio title in my name. vin # pl510380898 Terms- The car is sold as-is, where is. Cash or cleared cashier's check only. Low feedback bidders and bid retracters will be removed from the auction. I am not responsible for shipper's damaging the car in any way. You are welcome to come inspect the car in person. You are welcome to send an inspector to check out the car. On Jan-08-11 at 07:47:15 PST, seller added the following information: I have added a picture of the engine compartment today. Please note the original paint in the engine bay and on the shock towers. There are no rust holes in the spare tire well! I have run out of picture space but email me if you would like to see anything in particular. Thanks for looking.
