Unfortunately I have to relist this car. I need to pay my mortgage so I really need to get rid of some of my toys. I have drastically reduced the buy it now and the reserve. Truely a unique car. This is my project 280z that I have to sell. I have been working on this car for the last 2 years and am really sad to see it go. It has been my daily driver for the last few months. It runs and drives perfectly. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. You will not find a cooler 280z anywhere. Period. Interior -Completely new interior throughout -New sterring wheel -White gauge faces -High watt bulbs to guages -Sony XPLOD CD sterio with IPOD connectivity ran into ashtray of center console -New center console with aftermarket armrest and drink holder -2 Bazooka Sub woofers -New sony amplifier, new High Output speakers throughout car. -entire interior covered in sound deadening "Dynamat" material -New dash face -New carpet -New weather stripping throughout -New/Refurbished heater core -New/Refurbished heater fan Brakes -New Stainless steel bake lines -New Rotors -New upgraded toyota truck calipers- larger calipers with better stopping power -New performance pads Exhaust -New 3-2 headers -Complete new perfomance muffler Suspension -Tokico performance springs--lowering the car approx 1.5 inches -Tokico HP gas struts -Both front and rear strut bars-- gives phenominal cornering ability -New Inner/outer tie rods -New polyurethane bushings -New polyurethane steering coupler Fuel -New filters-- front and back -New high output fuel pump -New aftermarket cold air induction -New/refubished AFM -inner gas tank coated/treated for rust prior to purchase of car -New fuel injectors -lockable gas cap Engine -Previous owner stated that the engine had been rebuilt using a performance cam approx 40000 miles prior to me purchasing it. I cannot prove this, but I can tell you it idles smothly and runs great, with lots of power. -New performance alternator-- uping the amp output to 125 amps. -New 4 guage grounding kit. The Bad -small amount of rust underneath the battery. It does not affect the structure of the car and was treated with Por 15 -The paint job. I have completed all the work on this car myself, including the paint job. Now looking back I wish I had let someone else paint it. It is nice, looks kinda flat, but when you are close you can see alot of orange peel. People tell me you can buff it out but I have not tried this as yet. -Passenger door lock. Works, but key will not open it. Easy fix. -Left turn signal. Works, but interior light must be burned out. -Interior brake light is on. I believe brakes may need to be flushed. This does not affect in anyway the driivability. This list is by no means complete and does not cover anywhere close to the time and money invested in my project. I am sad to part with it. I get stares and thumbs up wherever I go. You really don't see alot of them around, and this is by far the nicest. Drive it anywhere. I've had it to 115mph on the highway and it still wanted more. Included in auction are the new rims and tires. I also have the old set that you can have aswell. I also have some odds and ends that will accompany the car aswell. The title is clear and in my name and posession. On Dec-02-10 at 17:56:23 PST, seller added the following information: I have been getting alot of questions regarding the extent of the rust. As I should. The only rust on this car is under the battery tray. I guess it's a problem spot for Z cars. The battery tray is intact. I bought a new battery about ayear ago. It does not affect the structural integrity and is a fairly small spot. I will include pics so that I hope noone will be taken off guard. Pics are under tray and view form passenger side wheel well. I also realized that the clock stopped working a few months ago in the car. On Dec-03-10 at 10:01:44 PST, seller added the following information: I have been getting alot of the same questions. I have added a few more pictures. The Floors were rust free before painting and then dynamat over top. The spare wheel well the same.
