Vehicle Detail
This is a RARE find 1980 Chevy Caprice Classic- All original with 30K Documented ORIGINAL MILES. Fully loaded, PWR Windows, PWR Steering, Locks, Air conditioning, Disc brakes. Original AM/FM radio, works great. Original, 4.4 Liter 2-BBL V8 w/automatic transmission. All options on bill of sale, car had almost $2K in options totalling to $9613.84 out the door. Heat works great, A/C could probably use a charge. Original Light blue exterior with blue cloth interior, never smoked in. Also has a blue vinyl top (No bubbling or rust whatsoever). Original paint on this car and sheetmetal. Never in an accident, NO RUST solid straight southern car. No big dents or dings. Look at the pictures the underneath of this car is spotless. Look at the TRUNK!! Spare tire still where the assembly line installed it, never used. Paint and weatherstripping looks new, no cracks or tears in the rubber. There is original chalk markings on the gas tank. Some markings under hood. The car still retains the original front bumper fillers but it is missing rears. These are hard to find still intact. This car was manufactured in Canada. The car doors open and close like new, no sagging. Door hinges, panels and sills are in great condition as well. Car is very tight. It drives great on the highway, nice smooth suspension. The original owner purchased the car brand new in 1980 in Pickens SC and he drove it home to Greenville SC where it spent its whole life in a garage. Car was usesd to go to the grocery store and back. All documentation on car, every inspection sticker from when the car was new until 1996 when the car last had 25K miles. The original owner got sick and passed away in 1998. The car sat untouched in the garage from 1998 until recently when I bought it off the grandson who got it from his estate. It has had a newer tune up, spark plugs and wires, new battery and alternator, and hoses. Car starts right up and drives great. I have the original bill of sale with all the options. This is practically a new car, you could eat off of the engine bay. I believe those to be the original tires they still have knobby on the sidewalls. This car needs a headliner and the exhaust is broken where the pipe links up to the muffler. Headliner is about $75 and the exhaust can be welded togehter at a shop for about $80. Back passenger pwr window is slow moving. Car is now 31 years old, you will be hard pressed to find an old Caprice in solid original condition as this. This car has been driven less than 1,000 miles a year. Car could use a paint job as it is the original. Nothing is missing all buttons/lights and functions work properly. Car is also for sale locally so I may end the auction at anytime, mileage could flucutate due to a test drive. I have disclosed all information I know of, if you have an questions please shoot me an email. Thanks! On Jan-01-11 at 13:39:01 PST, seller added the following information:I also have more pictures of all the paperwork, the original inspection paperwork from when the car had 200 miles on it in 1980 until 1996 when it had 25k miles. Also have pics of the window sticker and more photos of the interior and underneath if you are serious. Thanks
