The 70 Series is a family of Toyota Land Cruiser models produced from 1984 until the present day. It replaced the 25 year old 40 Series as the off-road workhorse of the Land Cruiser heritage, while the 60 Series (and later the 80, 100 and 200 Series) developed into more comfortable passenger off-road vehicles. Despite major changes in styling and numerous technological updates, the 70 Series was designed to retain the off-road capabilities and durability for which the 40 Series had become known with way more comfort including from factory A/C, Power Steering, Rear bench seat and more. The 70 Series was marketed throughout the world, except for the USA. This is a 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ70 but ebay did not allowed me to put the year right. So, up for auction is a one of a kind 1984 (first year of 70 series Land Cruisers) Toyota Land Cruiser BJ70 Japanese made and imported to Australia in the beginning and now here in the US for the Land Cruiser followers. This was the real first production of this series, actually this one is the number 751 produced at that time. This Land Cruiser BJ70 never came to the US but it is well known as one of the best of road vehicles after the FJ40 or 40 series was produced. This has a factory 3B Toyota Diesel engine with factory 5 speed transmission with only aprox. 135,000 miles (216.000 kms), miles could be a little more due that I used the vehicle very often. Also this BJ70 came with factory PTO (mechanic winch), rear bench with full seat belts front and rear corners seats, factory Power Steering and A/C (loose the gas eventually). Two tone factory paint and Toyota Alloy wheels (not spare, factory steel), front manual AISIN locking hubs, rear doors Ambulance Type but with the slight different that one is bigger than the other one (the small one for easy access to rear cargo area) and the rear bumper has a step to easy access too, aftermarket rear hitch, aftermarket Cd/stereo audio system and aftermarket front bush guard and factory rear slide windows. Overall the vehicle is in really good conditions taking as consideration the age of the vehicle. It came from factory with front power windows and locks. I just put two new batteries on it and just changed the motor oil and filter. This Land Cruiser is an eye catching and everybody ask you about it, besides as a daily vehicle is great for off road use. New air filter.
