Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 2006 Jeep Rubicon short wheel base auto trans. As you probably know, the Rubicon's are the most capable and best equipped factory Wrangler Jeep has to offer. The Jeep Rubicon form the factory has Dana 44 axles front and rear with air lockers and a 410 ring and pinion ratio. The transfer case is the NV241OR Rock Trac transfer case has a 4:1 low range and is much beefier than the other cases available to stock Jeeps. The engine is the revered 4.0 inline 6, and the trans is the 42rle 4 speed automatic with lockup torque converter. The Rubicon also comes standard with disc brakes at all 4 corners The Jeep is located in Utica NY. I'm willing to help the new buyer with delivery within 750 miles for the cost of fuel and return bus or airfare as long as they are paid for in advance. The Rubicon has every option possible minus the fancy rear view mirror that has a compass. It has cd, a/c, cruise, tilt, etc. It is a true dual top option jeep, it has the defroster switch and rear window wash switch on the dash to run the wiper and defroster, as well as the eyelets for the soft top. This Rubicon runs and drives great other than the howl of the tired MTR's, as it should with only 33k on it. (I know the dash pic says 31k but it was taken last month and I've taken it on a trip since). The automatic transmission shifts perfect, everything works, the axle lockers function perfectly fine. The 30k mile service has been performed. I changed the plugs to NGK V power, changed the air filter (obviously), and had the transmission filter changed and fluid swap done at a Firestone service center (microfelt filter and valvoline ATF +4). The diff fluid was changed with Valvoline synthetic differential fluid. I've run Mobil 1 high mileage (ACEA A3) and M1301 filter since 24k miles. I've read up on the possibility of flat tappet cam wear with new oils so I'm well schooled in the proper fluid choices for these motors. The battery was replaced June 09'-3yr free replacement. The original Goodyear MTR's are in need of replacement. Now for some history on the Jeep since you've likely seen the rebuilt tile brand. It does have a rebuilt NY title now, previous Florida. Its only seen 1 winter, and less than 3000 miles of winter driving. From underneath you can definitely tell this Jeep isn't from NY. I purchased this Jeep June 09' with 24k, as a theft recovery in Florida, and drove it 1500 miles to NY doing nothing but replacing a control arm (naturally having it inspected and looked over). The amount of damage was trivial-I replaced 1 control arm, the front bumper, and had the front cross member squared up by a body shop on an electronic frame machine-I have the printouts-my normal body guy said he wouldn't have bothered it was so slight and didn't effect anything. I did not touch the body at all. There are a few imperfections, as you would expect with a used vehicle. There is a slight kink in the passenger fender that you can see in the pics. There is a small scratch where the hood meets the grille on the driver side. There is a ding in the cowl on the driver side. That's pretty much all to note. An afternoon off road can definitely do more damage than those couple small blemishes. Aftermarket modifications: I installed Rokmen short corners, it has a 1 inch Motor mount/body lift, and a tummy tuck transfer skid plate. It has a skyjacker budget boost lift/ steering stabilizer with nitro shocks (this was installed at 27k). I never put fog lights back on the bumper, it does have the swaybar cover, its in the trunk area as I never installed it. I have a few TJ and Rubicon specific accessories left that the new owner can take off my hands at a great price like Riddler differential covers, lights, etc. Don't hesitate to ask any questions, I'm completely available for any questions or concerns you might have. If you can accept the fact that it has a rebuilt title, you'll have a heck of a Jeep with low mileage for less. I expect full payment within 5 days. Deposit of $500 within 48hrs via paypal or wire transfer. The rest is due in the form of cash, or bank check. Continental US buyers only. feel free to contact me and ask for a phone number should you have any questions. Thanks. Pics: On Dec-30-10 at 19:26:47 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to add that it also has a Rokmen steering skid installed. I'll add pictures of the ground clearance gained from the belly up skid plate since I've been asked. On Jan-01-11 at 13:41:07 PST, seller added the following information: I would also like to add that zero feedback bidders are required to email me with a notice of intent prior to bidding, or I will reserve the right to cancel your bid. It is pricey to list on Ebay, and I prefer individuals that intend to buy, not window shop. If you need more info in regard to condition, feel free to call, email, or by all means come inspect it yourself, or enlist a third party inspector. Thanks. On Jan-01-11 at 13:42:48 PST, seller added the following information: I also want to ask that anyone who may have asked a question within the past 24hrs resend it. I accidentally deleted a few questions prior to replying. Thanks. On Jan-08-11 at 23:10:38 PST, seller added the following information: I want to add that if anyone wishes to contact me tomorrow feel free to request my cell number, as I will make myself fully available to pacify any apprehensions anyone may have about purchasing the Rubicon. I unfortunately cannot make it home in time to shoot a couple engine or underside pics, but rest assured you will not be disappointed. The engine is clean, as is the frame. I would not be willing to donate my time to the new owner for delivery just to have an irate buyer stand before me. Get yourself a new set of tires and an alignment, and enjoy. Again, I am fully available for phone calls--just ask for my number.
