PLEASE READ: Since I listed this item there have been many questions as to the VIN #. This vehicle has a valid Iowa title. The vin # OK950186 is in the Vin # box on the title. The truck also has a plate on the body that states "OKLAHOMA DPS ASSIGNED VIN # OK950186".. This vehicle has been titled twice in the state of Iowa so there apparently has been no problems with licenseing it. The Iowa title states "Cumulative Damage" on it so we will call it a "SALVAGE TITLE". Sorry for the delay in getting this info out but the vehicle is 10 miles away and locked up. Had to wait for the owner to respond. You know how that goes. I have the valid title in hand. You are bidding on a 1978 Ford F-250 extended cab pickup truck. I am selling this for a friend so it may take a bit to get your questions answered. ENGINE - 400 small block with a 750 Holley carburetor. DRIVE TRAIN - All cast iron drive train with a 4-speed transmission. LIFT - 6" Suspension Lift - 4" body lift - BRAKES - Stock front disc - REAR -Detroit Locker - Tag reads 3.54, D9TA, ALA, 6039264 - TIRES - 440 Swampers - BODY - My understanding is that this was an Oklahoma truck. EXHAUST- The engine has headers. It has a FLOWMASTER sticker on the front bumper. The owner thought it ws a Flowmaster exhaust sysyem. It looks welded front to back. It looks to be a fairly new exhaust system all the way from the headers back. I did not see any catalytic converters on it so it may not meet emisson standards. You'll have to be the judge. FRONT BUMPER - Nice massive front bumper. INTERIOR - The interior appears to be in good shape for its age, showing some ageing. The seats are not ripped up. --------THE BAD - There is a rust hole on the inside drivers side floorboard. Some rust in the rear wheel well areas and cab corners. The bed also has some rust holes in the end closest to the cab. Truck has mostly surface rust. The paint is rough. The front fenders are not rotted out. There is a dent at the bottom where the right front fender meets the rockers. This vehicle does not run. His brother hooked the battery up backwards and possibly screwed up the ignition. He could not see any burned wires. May be an inline fuseable link or ???????. It has not been run for atleas a year. This vehicle has been ridden hard. He stated the engine was getting tired. The mileage is listed at 200,000 miles. The owner indicated that it had gone past 100,000 and wasn't sure what the speedo reads. TIRES ARE BAD --------- This vehicle may be used as a parts vehicle. I highly recommend that you view this item prior to bidding on it. This vehicle is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS , non-running, and will need to be towed or trailered.
