Vehicle Detail
Family Emergency Forces Quick Sale! Up for grabs is a 1993 Nissan 300ZX NA 5 Speed. This is my son's car (it's been a project for the last year or so) but he has moved off to college and I am now having to move for an emergency, so it has to go. It's shame - it is a BEAUTIFUL car. It comes with T-Tops, an insane 3.0 Litre V6, and CANDY APPLE RED METALLIC PAINT. This car is not for the feint of heart - it's a beast. The engine was rebuilt at 100k, and runs like a banshee. Here are some of the upgrades and links to some more information about them (Click the links): It has a racing clutch made by ACT Clutch (Advanced Clutch Technology) Megan Racing Cold Air Intake (we will also provide the stock airbox to the new owner in case the smog people require it) Stillen Type III Rear Spoiler (scroll down to find it - part # 1030018) Stillen Nose Panel (scroll down to find it - part # 108820) Tokico Perfrmance Struts with coilovers. These shocks/struts have lowered the car 1" and drastically improved the handling. Strut Tower Brace Aftermarket Brace that stiffens up the front end to minimize flex. I would suggest that the next owner get one for the rear as well. Computer Perfromance Chip - changes the fuel maps and adds 25+ horsepower. The wheels are stock aluminum alloys that have been polished - very nice! The paint is in GREAT condition with only extremely minor imperfetions. That paint job cost in excess of $4500.00 alone. That's what good candy jobs cost. It still needs to be color sanded and polished - I will try to have that done by the time the auction ends. The sections that are sanded and polished look incredible. The interior is in average to above average condition. It is all stock gray tweed. The driver's seat has a small area on the lower bolster that has frayed. The rear carpet needs to be replaced (it is nasty) - the previous owner did not think it was necessary I guess. There is a real good one on sale here on eBay for $39.99 + $20 shipping. eBay 300ZX NA 2 Seater Rear Carpet. The driver's door panel has one really small tear (maybe 1/2") but it's hard to see. The stereo is the stock BOSE unit and it works great. The passenger side door speaker is inop - the speaker is fine, but it needs new wiring run from the headunit to the speaker itself. I tested the speaker by plugging it into another spot, and it works great. The rear cargo area panels are in fair shape. They are plastic, and as such have some broken tabs, etc. They are not unsightly, but the new owner may take enough pride in ownership to replace them. The engine screams. It's scary fast. Don't buy this car for your teenager please. The transmission is kinda tricky. The clutch is so strong, you have to really be careful. Let it up from the floor even a little bit, and the car is moving. When I have driven it, I double clutch it and that seems to help keep it under control. The rear end is a little loose - a good 4 wheel alignment will solve that. We have a new speedo sending unit that needs to be installed - I will do it if I can before the sale ends. The speedo quit last week. The sending unit should fix it. The ABS light is on - I have located a fix for it online - will try to solve it this week. This car starts right up every time and I'll say it again - it screams. Please do not buy this car for a teenage kid. It's too powerful. A family illness has forced us to move unexpectedly, so this car needs to go ASAP. This car was a project car for my son and he never registered it because he has another car and this was a side project. Therefore, be aware that there may be some back DMV fees due. We are told they will be about $500.00 I will split that cost with the new owner and deduct $250 from the final sale price. The new owner will be responsible for any and all DMV fees associated with buying a car beyond that. There is no license plate, so it can not be driven - you must tow the car to it's next location. Use BUY IT NOW ($8000), and I will have it towed for you free of charge (up to 100 miles). Please email me with any questions. stewartmotorsport2010@yahoo.com Disclaimer: This car is sold "AS IS" and "WHERE IS" meaning that the winning bidder is responsible to do their due diligence prior to bidding, and is also responsible for any and all DMV fees, as well as transportation of the vehicle after sale.
