View Our Other Listings | Contact Us | Print this listing 1978 CORVETTE PACE CAR IN TEXAS NO RESERVE 85K MILES @@ Jimmie's Deals1602 South MarketHearne, TX 77859 Call Us Today(979) 280-0138Ask Us A Question Vehicle Details Year: 1978 Make: Chevrolet Model: Corvette VIN: 1Z87L8S900598 Mileage: 85376 Transmission: Automatic Engine: 8 Cylinder, 5.7 L Exterior Color: Black Interior Color: Other Title: Clear Description HERE IS A L48 PACE CAR WITH FACTORY PAINT AND MOTOR THAT IS SELLING TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER!!! the pictures of the car should answer most any question you may have and i will try to give a thorough description without boring you to death. il assume that you guys looking at this know exactly what it is and will spare you all the specs and hype. this is a texas car at least since 2001 which is the date on the on the title i received. the car appears to have mostly factory paint but someone at some point put a new red stripe on most of the car. it had the door stickers in the rolled up in case you want them. you can see in the pictures which parts of the car have the factory stripe and which were restriped. there are several scuffs & scratches in the paint which have been touched up and most dont show up in pictures and you pretty much have to look for them to find them but i took up close pictures of any defects i noticed. the casual observer would think the car has an excellent appearance but the paint does still have a nice glossy finish, excellent considering its age but certainly nothing resembling mint condition. but for 1978 paint pretty darn nice! naturally the t-tops like most you see have some cracks in them. but i do have a nice set that are for sale. the interior is in better shape than most pace cars but is not comparable to a new one. the seats are pretty nice, the dash isnt busted or cracked anywhere, the console is in good shape, the carpet is like most of the others it just looks old but is still in descent shape, the door panels are good but both arm-rests aren't, the climate control switches are not working which i have am not an expert by any means but have been trying to track down and my determination is that there is a vacuum leak in the main line which is causing the air to blow to the floor only. we check the a/c compressor and it does work and dont make any unwanted noises. the car still has its numbers matching L48 motor even though they put L82 badges on the car. this car starts right up everytime and even though it has spent the biggest part of its life sitting around it still idles and runs very good! the pictures of the block pad show that it is the factory numbers matching motor. the transmission shifts good and the car drives down the road as good as a 78 with 85k miles should. best of all it stops better than any 70's vette ive ever owned. it stops straight and darn good. the lights are up in the pictures but go up and down good. this is a very good car and a much better car than alot of lower mile cars that ive had. we are a small and i do mean small town dealer that sells worldwide. we have shipped to 38 states and several foreign countries. we do our best to accurately describe our vehicles and more often than not our buyers say our vehicles are better than they expected. we are dealers but we arent salesman, we tell it exactly how we see it without any sugar coating which im sure costs us some sales but we end up with happier customers. we know how it is to travel long distance to buy something not described accurately and try our absolute best for that to not happen to our customers. but even though we do our best to describe our vehicles we know that everyone looks at vehicles differently so we take the best photos we can and a bunch of them and include more of the negatives than the positives in our photos. on top of this our policy is that if for any reason whatsoever one of our buyers isnt 100% happy with their purchase we release them from the transaction without any questions or hassle! we prefer our buyers to not even pay until they have personally seen, driven and inspected the vehicle to make absolute certain it is the vehicle for them. because we handle vehicles from brand new condition all the way down to a junker we deal with buyers that have a varied ideas of vehicle condition and we strive for our buyers to be 100% satisfied.
