Up for bids with "NO RESERVE" is my 1997 F-150 XLT Extended Cab Short box Pick Up. It has the 5.4ltr V8 engine & automatic transmission. Power windows, locks, cruise, tilt, A/C, JVC CD player w/remote & chrome factory wheels Body is in good shape for the age, only rust/rot is to the ext passenger door & rear bumper The interior is nice just needs a little cleaning but no rips or tears. The tires are in decent shape, rears are better than front but still all in good shape. 4 wheel drive works just as it should, shifter lever is stiff and takes a little grunt to move it. Truck does need some work, here is a list of what I have found...... Transmission cross member is bent, previous owner must have hit a rock or something. Should be cheap from a junkyard, just bolts in. Also has a exhaust leak, has all original exhaust, factory muffler is bad. May also need exhaust manifold or gasket, gets quieter when engine warms up. Engine sounds beautiful, but may need a fuel pump I assume, lacks power under load. Does not skip, just lacks power under a load. I just replaced the spark plugs & air filter & changed the oil & filter. I have the fuel filter but have not had the time to replace it, I will include it in the sale. I have 3 other projects going on and do not have the time to finish this one. Should be towed home to be safe. If your local stop by anytime & take a look at it. I live in Queensbury, New York 12804.
