We did some modifications when we bought it the main was we got a 1988 Chevrolet truck and swapped the chassis, engine, power steering, and transmission. So it looks like a 1959 truck but drives like an ’88. Here is a list of specifications and other modifications: 1. Engine: GM 5.7L 2. Fuel Injection: GM TBI 3. Transmission: 700R4 Automatic 4. Instrument cluster: Dakota Digital 5. Pain: Duppont GM Luxo Blue Effect and Suzuki White 6. Wheels: American Racing 17 X 8 in front and 17 X 9.5 in rear 7. Tires: Nitto 255/50 front and 275/50 rear 8. Brakes: ABS Disc front and Drum rear hydraulic brake booster 9. Gas Tank: Ford 150 Rear gas tank 10. Suspension: Coll Spring front and Ford leaf springs rear 11. Steering: GM Power steering systems 12. Sounds System: Sony Xplod stereo and speakers, DB Drive amps and subs 13. Bed: Antiskid aluminum floor 14. Interior: Two tone personalized with Aluminum trim 15. Exterior: Original chrome emblems 16. Exhaust: Flowmasters Super 40 17. AC unit: The engine is a GM V8 and we have painted it blue and white to match the exterior color of the truck. The instrument panel is a Dakota Digital panel and works well, but needs to replace the transmission speed sensor. This truck runs very well and is a real nice ride especially with it’s really cold AC. I live in Brownsville, TX which is the south most point of Texas.
