This car is in great condition. 289 V8 Engine, 2 barrel carburetor, C4 automatic transmission, Power steering, Disc Brakes, dual exhaust, Magnum 500 Wheels. Silver Blue with Standard Blue interior, Power top, Am radio (works), Two speed wipers Visibility group with remote mirror and matching passenger side mirror and Rocker moldings. Clean body! This Car was owned by a Ford Parts Manager who bought many NOS parts to restore this car. The welding and replacement of the rocker panels torque boxes and floors was expertly performed 15 years ago. This car has been in DRY storage since the work was done. In addition the Cowl was repaired and the Body recieved NOS panels all around! Extensive use of NOS body panels including; Quarter panels,Both front Fenders, Hood, both front and back valances, rear tail panel, both headlight buckets, stone deflector too. Nice glossy PPG base/clear paint job in Silver blue (the original color). 289 Engine Runs quiet clean and very smooth!.Compression 125 across the board. Nos Ford components installed include water pump, alternator, Cloys double roller timing chain, NOS harmonic balancer, Nos distributor, new oil pump and screen, Nos Motor mounts. The engine feed harness was an NOS replacement MORE! Carb is original. There has been an extensive use of NOS Ford parts in restoring this beautiful car. Exhaust; Brand new Dual exhaust with trumpets in back,Walker system. Transmission; C4 rebuilt with new converter and starter, Shifts beautifully. Brakes ; Disc up front with drums in back, New brake lines and Master cyl, new calipers , rotors ,bearings ,pads hoses. Tires; Firestone all 4 new with correct whitewall on Shelby style Magnum wheels. Two center caps were lost but replacements have been ordered along with a new set of lug nuts. Front suspension ; Complete new NOS front suspension including upper control arms lower control arms Springs and spring saddles. Power steering; Complete new steering including NOS tie rod ends, Idler arm, Steering box (flaming river) and sleeves, replacement Ford authorized remanufactured Pump, Control valve and Hoses. Upholstry; New seat upholstry as is the carpet. The dash pad is NOS Ford original. The quarter trim panels are original. Door panels are new and the arm rests and bases are NOS Ford. Convertible TOP; The top was replaced 20 Years ago and still looks good. A new back window comes with the car for when the time comes. The glass; Good shape altho not mint. FoMoCo original all around! Exterior Chrome: All replaced chrome bumpers . door handles outside including Grille. reproduction here. Has new weather strips on the doors and trunk. Has been driven only 4 miles since work was performed and does need to be tightened up and needs an alignment before a long drive. This car has been in the process of restoration for 15 years and unfortunatly the current owner is not able to do any more now, as he is disabled. The car was to be a Mint driver and local show car. While this car is really very nice . It is NOT perfect! There are a few imperfections in the paint, touched up chips on the edge of the trunk lid. panels line up nice but could be tweked for show. If you want a TOP winning show car this car is not it, (YET). With detailing and elbow grease it could be. I have to be honest! It drives nice! The engine runs very smooth. The car is very clean underneath. No Rust. In addition there were more new parts in the trunk New back window, a full weatherstrip kit for the top frame and quarter panel ornaments. I installed the original steering wheel as the wood wheel would not produce the horn. The pony wood wheel will come with the car only it will be in a box in the trunk.
