Vehicle Detail
Reasonable Rides and Rods presents this very nice and rare 1991 GMC Syclone. Even though this Syclone has 70,000 miles, it has been garage kept since day one. Based on the condition of the truck, most people think that the mileage is much lower. While I purchased this Syclone several years ago, it had already received a few modifications. Since the truck wasn’t stock, I decided to go all out on the modifications based on what the stock engine could handle. The end result created a somewhat stock appearing Syclone that really scoots. The body, paint and interior on this Syclone are in outstanding condition. Other than a minor scratch or two, the paint is excellent. As you can see from the pictures, the reflection and shine of the paint is nearly perfect. There are some scratches in the bed from sliding something in the truck prior to my ownership, but doesn’t detract from the appearance. The cladding is also in excellent condition, and is tight to the truck. The original soft tonneau cover was replaced with a color matched hard cover. It is in excellent condition. All of the door seals are in excellent condition, and the doors seal like new. The interior is equally impressive. You can tell that the vehicle has been garaged as the red stitching and piping is still bright red and has not faded. The seats, carpet, door panels, headliner, dash and console are all in excellent condition. The ac blows ice cold for those warmer times of the year. Everything works on this little truck. The list of modifications to this Syclone is quite extensive. It runs very strong, but is perfect for daily driving. The following is a list of modifications: SyTy 52 Turbo Upgrade 50 lb. injectors 3 Bar MAP Air-to-air Intercooler Ultimate Chip Upgraded plug wires Stainless Steel 3 inch exhaust NX Nitrous Kit 35 hp shot (bottle never filled) Upgraded 700R4 3000 Stall converter Jasper Transfer Case Drive shaft safety loop Battery relocation kit (mounted in bed) Boost gauge on pillar pod I’m sure that I am forgetting something, but as you can see from the engine pictures, the modifications look outstanding. This Syclone is clean and dry underneath and does not leak anything. The engine idles smooth and has no noises. The suspension is tight and this truck tracks down the road almost as if it were new. The tires and wheels are in great condition. I have never run this Syclone in the ¼ mile, so I have no idea what it will run. I can tell you that it is very fast. The programmable chip (mounted in the glove box) allows you to tune the truck for either street driving, or the track. If you are looking for a stock Syclone, this is probably not your truck. However, if you don’t mind the mods and want a Syclone that can be enjoyed daily, this truck could be for you. Overall, this is a very nice and clean Syclone. I have a clear Texas title. As a side note, I also have a set of Bowtie aluminum heads (2.02 and 1.60 valves), Cam Dynamics roller cam, roller rockers, pushrods, and stainless steel headers. I had considered building an engine for it, but decided to wait since the engine is still so strong. These items may be included if I get the right price, but might also be purchased separately.
